AoS 2k tournament list, feedback please

    -Slann (general since he's the only one with a command ability) with master of defense
    -3X10 saurus guard
    -eternity warden (+1 damage artifact)
    -eternal starhost
    -engine of the gods (Phoenix stone)
    -bastiladon
    -stegadon with flame throwers.
    Comes out to 1880. Any suggestions? Can't summon anything that's not on the field and no duplicate heroes (tournament comp)

    You think it's solid aside from that? I'm primarily a death player with a penchant for skeleton hordes so this lost feels super frail to me

    The list is slow but solid and you will hold objectives well, could you swap out the Slann and EotG for a Starpriest and some fast movers?

    I have a star priest, 70 skinks, 16 knights, 10 chameleon skinks, and 3 terradons available.

    Edit: I also have a stegadon with bow. The tournament is also comped for 125 wounds Max (the guys running it have a fetish for the ITC so they're overlaying that on top of the GHB)

    EotG feels a bit expensive in this particular list for some reason... I don't think it feels like a frail list, kinda the opposite to me - you have some tanky stuff in there.

    As always mortal wounds are going to be your biggest enemy, so I would get a Starpriest and try to mitigate on your key shooty things.

    Like I said, I come from death. My typical list has 3 blocks of 30 skeletons which hold objectives like a boss, almost impossible to chew through. So cutting down to 3 squads of 10 feels rough. I'm just imagining thunder tusks deleting an entire unit of guard every turn.

    500 points wrapped up in engine and slann is a lot. Especially with no summoning avaliable. So a list like @Crowsfoot built here might di a little better.

    Seems solid. I would probably go for a 30 skink man group to harass the enemy or 3 units of 10 for chaff purposes though instead of knights*** . Just personal preference :D

    thanks for the feedback guys, i think i'll use crow's list.
    so general consensus is that the engine and slann are garbage in matched?
