300 point club - Get bizzay, you slackers! >:(

Inspired by the other Lizardmen forum, The Pyramid Vault, I've decided to start a painting "club". Anyone can join, and the rules are very simple. The idea is that after 10 months worth, you will have 2,000 - 3,000pts worth of models painted!

The goal is to complete 300 points worth of models in 1 month. At the end of the month you'll get a medal if you have reached this goal.

The rules:
- It is strongly recommended that all active members post a submission for every month. It is not necessary for each submission to be 300 points, but you will not be able to claim a medal for a submission under 300 points.

- Special medals will be available for every 1000 points you paint. (Note: Points will not be transferred from the original 300 point club. Everyone starts at 0 again.)

- Submissions are due one week after the termination of the month. For example, January's submissions are due at 11:59 pm on Saturday, February 7th. You will not be able to claim a medal for late submissions.

- At any time during the month, feel free to post updates, questions, thoughts, requests for suggestions or advice, etc.

- To make allowances for sculpting/conversions, if your models for the month contain a heavy conversion or scratch-built item then it's worth a bonus 100 points more than it would be normally. For example, a converted priest would give you 250 points instead of 150. Only 1 bonus per month is allowed.

- Rules of WYSIWYG apply to modelling. Points for magical items may not be included without direct representation of these items on your model(s).

- To become a member you need to have attained a medal. At which point, I'll add you to the member list. So get painting, everybody!

- Effective February 7th, 2009, all point calculations shall be done according to the 7th edition army book. No exceptions.

Absolutely! It doesn't have to be Lizardmen models that you are painting. Anything goes!

Alright, I will add y'all to the member list! Anything you have painted in January is due by February 7th in order to get the medal, and everything you paint in February is due by March 7th.

heres my 300 pts for january, actually more like...welll...(lets see, 135 + 125 + 130 + 50 [not shown] = 440 pts)....440 pts!

I would also like to take this time to mention that the models you submit don't have to be 100% finished - if you still have a bit of touch-ups to do on the base, or maybe you need to paint the eyes in or something like that, it's fine with me. As long as it's for the most part done.

Having said that, here is my submission for the month of January:

First of all, Kroq-Gar! (I painted the Carnosaur earlier, so I'll only count KG now)



Next up, a pair of Skink Chiefs!







And last, but certainly not least, a Scar-Veteran!

If my math is correct (and I'm using 6th edition points, because I don't have the 7th edition book yet) the total point value is 438, so I as well will be taking a medal.

Can you please add Bec to the list also? She will be painting Chaos.

Hopefully we will be able to paint up our 300 points during February as we have a little holiday coming up for a week or two.

@ lord marcus: yes, you can start on your February models any time. However, I would like to see you do another 300 points, and you do have a whole month, so unless you're really in a jam and desperately need those extra points, I'd suggest painting a new 300. Those extra points will get you closer towards the 1k medal!

@ msinosic: Yes, those look quite good. However, you should post pictures of your submissions, so everyone can see how many points you did over the month.

Thank you. I will shoot for the February medal. I am painting a the Saurus WarriorsUnit Box and 3 Kroxigors. Bec is painting the Chaos Warriors Unit Box and perhaps an Aspiring champion.

@ msinosic = if you mean a chaos hero, the new book calls it exalted hero. just thought i'd let you know for future reference.

anyways, my plauge priest is painted (i'm paining and varnishing today!) and he is 74 pts. i'll post a micture when he is varnished.
