    A NEW DAWN IS UPON US!

    ..hmm hmm..

    We have gotten so extremely many ways to kite out our magic phase, that I cant
    delude myself to think that I have spotted them all myself.

    We can do everything from million dollar slann to cheapy skeapy 4 skink priests that support
    eachother with aided casting/dispellng.

    I would like to see what you guys roll with!
    I would also like for you to give it a stamp!

    I had a game two days ago, where my magic build was as such

    I would qualify it as HEAVY investment,
    as it costs a total of 995pts (with overlaps on other phases of course :) )

    I'll look more into your post later, but I'm going to make some suggestions to the ABC regarding the triceratop mounted Priests with Godly Engine. I think we could have a viable "monster caster" but it just needs a little push.

    It's true you invested a lot of points into magic, however you also got quite some great things going there.

    If I were you I would've tried to sqeeze in the telepathic discipline. You havec 3 magic beacons and might as well use them to spread the inspiring Presence :D Besides those monsters can still do some harm with 4 S5 attacks and the mini-thunderstomps.

    Also do note that Godly Engine also count as a Magic Beacon.

    There is a thing I think we need clarification on:
    Do the extra spell arcane item allow us to use it in conjunction with disciplines?
    • Can we take all 8 signature spells and add +1 spell to one of the paths?
    • Can we add +1 spell to Path of Darkness?
    • Can we take alternate way of thinking and add +1 spell to our secondary Path?
    IF we are allowed to do so it opens up a lot of option.

    Concerning the disciplines we can become the ultimative Dispell Wizard:
    • Funnel the Winds
    • Cognitive Reassurance
    Add enough skink priests as needed and be assured to have:
    • +1 Dispel Dice
    • +1 To Dispel
    • Allowed to reroll first failed dispel attempt
    Add Black Cube to remove 1 Power Dice from your opponent.
    Because of your superior dispel power you can probably save a dice every once in a while and use it as a power dice.

    For added giggles you can add our new magic banner just in case you end up against a Tzeentzh army (+1 To Cast).

    The price for this Slann?

    435pts without the BSB and magic banner.
    540 if you add the BSB and magic banner.

    Add two Skink to be guaranteed to get a Dispel Dice every turn and a dispel scroll and we're looking at:
    155pts for skink + 540 = 695pts for ridiculous magical dominance :D

    Do note that while we only get +4 on our dispel channel (from the channel) we still do channel on 4+ in our own casting phase.
    For added giggles add Binding Scroll (20pts) which deny our opponent to cast the same spell next round.

    This alongside the black cube would be an extremely potent anti-magic setup. I think it would be hard for many opponents to get by that.

    I actually made a mistake in my previous post. The Slann gains +4 to channel which combined with his own channel (+1) would equal to +5. So we effectively only need 1 Priest. So just a little over 600pts for all of that.

    I actually want to try it out because if we can remove our opponents magic phase and still get spells off in our own I see it as just as powerful as having a superior casting phase. I mean the situations are the following:
    • No magic from opponent, some from us.
    vs
    • Some magic from opponent, a lot from us.
    They're just two "extremes", however, I suppose when up against Dwarfs it's kinda useless to have invested that much into anti magic :D
