This is probably low hanging fruit, but with the buffs to the EoTG and Thunder, this is where my brain first took me. It looks like pretty good fruit to me. I love that if you run multiple EoTG you can hopefully keep pumping out Skinks to chaff for them. I'm pretty excited to try and find ways to maximize the EoTG's summoning. In certain ways it is better than the Slann summoning and I think it will be very powerful if you can build around it. I always use a starpriest against chaos because of its spell "summon starlight " wich not only adds + 1 to hit and 1+ armor aswell as dealing d3 mortal wounds
If the Slann has Vast intellect it can also use the Starlight spell. That list looks cool, and it will look awesome on the table with all those big dinos. As for the summoning... might work.
I really think if you get a little lucky and get 2 summons from the EoTGs in the first 2 turns, 1 per turn, it would be amazing. Maybe I am over stating it, but getting 20 wounds for "free" seems incredible.
hmm even still, I think it could be worth it in some games. To regain some wounds to get the extra EotG dice etc.
With Curse of Fates the chance of pulling off summoning is ~49% but for the 2nd EotG without the spell it is more like 36%. So getting 2 summons in the first 2 turns is actually the most likely outcome but you may well get less. Now if you had Starseer re-rolls that would be a different thing again!
Why take vast intellect and the starpriest? if you are using the slann for summoning primarily than the starpriest has the starlight spell, and its redundant... if you want to use the Slann to cast the starlight than you have reduced the starpriest to MB/MS/realm(if realm is being used in that match) I guess it just seems redundant to me. what am I missing?
so its points reduction cuz the starseer costs... 200? that would make sense. let the starpriest cast starlight/conduit for spell range, let the slann be both slann and starseer (minus gambling game lol). it would appear that was what I was missing lol
