Just to have a fancy name for my army :D

    foto1_zps534c76a5.jpg

    My saurus:

    foto55_zps1bca972f.jpg

It is quite some time ago, that i painted these. they are rather dark.

    foto45_zpsaaf277c0.jpg

    foto32_zps72004b9f.jpg

they have become more and more red, as I have come to like the blue with red scales.

    Skinks:

    foto52_zps90ab8d09.jpg

I plan to get some more, and paint them, to proxy chameleons.

    My first Stegadon:

    foto22_zpsd4a9ea26.jpg

    foto12_zps7cfa554e.jpg

and again it is very dark, as it is one of my early models.

    My second Stegadon:

    foto37_zps35c83393.jpg

    foto47_zpsf78938e1.jpg

I do like this one over my other stegadon. it is more bright and overall I think I did a better job painting it.

Moving to more saurus, or rather temple guard.

    foto13_zps021b344c.jpg

    foto14_zps96fd7f14.jpg

    foto43_zps0925cf81.jpg

these are a bit wierd, in the sense that they do not fit with the rest of my army.

    foto33_zps14a2d076.jpg

my old salamander, which might need a repainting.

Now to the first unit I ever got:

    foto36_zps8f679b98.jpg

I did not have a wide range of colors when I painted these, so the saurus only have one single blue color.

    foto26_zps66a19352.jpg

My second unit of cold one riders. as with the temple guard, they are a bit off. I actually have some more cold one riders, I have begun painting. A bit of a waste sadly, as I rarely use them.

    On to Characters:

    Skink Priset:

    foto35_zpsb6719c79.jpg

he is my only mage. I probably should get some more.

    foto56_zps6f715668.jpg

My Saurus on Carnosaur. I have never really used him because I am mostly playing against cannons or games that are just too small for him to fit in the 25% of Lords or Heroes. and now, he is outdated.

    Chracter on cold one:

    foto34_zpsbc7a9f39.jpg

    foto24_zpsf0bfb760.jpg

I do like him, but again, he does not fit the rest of my army.

    Scar vet:

    foto41_zps8e63f270.jpg

    foto51_zps9f71d596.jpg

he was made to be Gor-Rok. As he did not have a model in the last edition, now he is most often used as a scar veteran.

    Oldblood:

    foto11_zps29e5cfe3.jpg

    foto21_zps556e8d72.jpg

Just a standard oldblood, not much to say. He fits the theme of some of my saurus though.

    And now, My favorite model:

    Gor-Rok

    foto5_zps22524845.jpg

    foto4_zps49b4ddf1.jpg

    foto3_zpsc7baf4da.jpg

    foto2_zpsd7755f3e.jpg
I tried to have his shield look like it was made out of blue obsidian. But its not that clear on the picture.

I use him often, as I love his backstory, and he is a real beast on the battlefield, He and an oldblood have practically slaughtered a unit of 50 empire soldiers, and had two other units in their flanks flee. the one getting run down by my stegadon. and Gor-Rok and my Oldblood, did not loose a single wound, even though there were two characters in one of the empire units.

At the moment I am painting an Oldblood, which, hopefully, will be finished soon.

I especially like the blue you did on Gor-Rok's shield, how do you paint your blue obsidian?

    Hi vosrik

the way i made Gor-Roks shield, was by painting it balck, and painting with Caledor sky on all edges. aftewards I painted the edges with Teclis blue, and painted some stripes (I guess they could be called that anyway)(maybe a bit hard to see on the picture). and to finish it I painted with Ardcoat.

He may not be the most current sculpture, but he is definitely still usable. He is just as effective (if not more effective) as the new model too!

If you say so, I will probably try using him, as I love the Carnosaur, and it is sad if he is just standing around being useless.
And it might be a good indicator whether or not I should get the new carnosaur model at some point.

Now with the new rules that came with the end times it will be easier to field carnosaurs.

(My oldblood i soon finished, so I will post a picture soon)

I'd change his base, But I don't think you need the new model at all. In fact I prefer the old model at this point. I do wish it was a bit larger, But it looks much better IMO. esp the dinosaur's head.

Do you have any solution on how to change the base/get him off of it? He is glued to the base with super glue, and I do not know how to do it.

sadly the pictures are a bit blurry, so some details are lost.

His armor is generally black with purple patterns on, to try an get an obsidian effect. the same I did with the weapon and the snake on top of his head, just with red instead.

I have just taken apart my Carnosaur, because the saurus´ head fell off, and I thought: Screw it.

I want to repaint him(as he had also lost some paint), and while i am at it, give him the right sized base.

I want to ask, if anyone have a solution to strip him of paint.

And if anyone has an idea for a cool colerscheme (carnosaur only).

Depends on what he's made of. For metal models I use mineral turpentine or methylated spirits - but by the Old Ones do not use this on plastic!

Some people use a cleaning product called Simple Green on plastics and resin, but I've never had any success with it. I prefer Dettol antiseptic. Not the wash - just straight up medical antiseptic. Leave your mini in a tub of it for a day or two then attack it with a toothbrush. Be warned, it is very messy and can leave the plastic a bit brittle (but not too bad).

I've never stripped resin or finecast so I'm not sure about them sorry.

I also hear brake fluid works, but I haven't been game to try it.

I think I found a cool color scheme:

    Tyrannosaurus.JPG

    stumpy10.jpg

    Ep4-trex-01-1-.jpg

It is probably above my level of skill to paint that, but I plan to try anyway.

Agreed, that IS a cool colour scheme!

I've got the old Kroq-Gar carnie in finecast (same as the old metal one I think). Maybe I'll give this a shot too!

I might actually make my carnosaur different from the pictures and then again similar. maybe similar but different.

I took some new pictures in a better quality of some of the models I thought did not get a proper picture the first time around:

    First up is Gorok:

    DSCF8133_zpswah4jsyz.jpg

And a clearer picture of the shield:

    DSCF8134_zpsiwzf4cve.jpg

Now the blue lines going across the shiled are visible.

An oldblood (tried to do the same with his armour as with Gorok´s shield, with difference in color):

I also repainted some of my older models, as they are metal and some of the paint had fallen off. They have also become the first models I have based properly.

    Skink Priest:

    DSCF8141_zpscnhjcfqk.jpg

He now fits more with my overall army scheme, and have become a lot lighter compared to what he was before.

    DSCF8142_zpsbro7x0c7.jpg

Skinks for my Slamander (one of them):

He too fits better with my overall army scheme.

    DSCF8140_zpsqulhw9mw.jpg

    Newly painted models:

    My skink Chameleon skinks:
These are my first Chameleons. I often play against Empire, so a counter to Empire´s "Gatling gun" is very nice indeed.

Now some of the models I am currently working on:

    The salamander

    DSCF8149_zpsv1bywzpd.jpg

The colors are inspired from a model of Smaug.

    Cold one

    DSCF8148_zpsgrapnzcq.jpg

    Rider

    DSCF8147_zps8aypkihx.jpg

I have grown kind of fond for the obsidian look (well that is at least what it is supposed to look like).

These two are practically done, but I still have 7 more to go.

My old Saurus and Carnosaur, which I am repainting:

    DSCF8150_zpsx8plngp2.jpg

    DSCF8152_zpss72ro0wo.jpg

I have also just begun working on a Bastiladon. Maybe I have too many balls in the air at the same time :D
