Great to see you’ve nabbed another 8th Edition book, always satisfying when you manage to bag a desired but out-of-print item!

And Kharadron are always awesome. I wonder what you’ll be doing with such a magnificent vessel? Not starting AoS surely?

As for me, so far my hobby-related gifts have included:

• 2 packs of 20mm square bases from Reaper (always in need of those for Fantasy models)
• A Reaper Troll who will look great alongside my two GW ones (they are the ordinary trolls, one of which is the one from the Battle for Skull Pass Box and the other the metal one with the hammer, sadly missed out on the other metal one before it was thrown out but this Reaper one will be an ample substitute)
• The Infinite and the Divine by Robert Rath, the first 40K Story ever written from the point of view of the Necrons.

And there may well be more to come, as I haven’t opened all my presents yet (we spread our presents out across as many of the 12 Days of Christmas as possible ) and I haven’t decided yet whether I’ll spend some of my Christmas money on something in the new year, and if there is more I’ll add another post to this thread.

It gets harder and harder as I have fewer left to acquire. Now I just need the Daemons of Chaos book and the Dark Elves book, the later of which will be far more difficult and/or costly to obtain.

I'm collecting them slowly, not paying too much for any of them. I've found some great deals over the years.

Definitely not joining AoS!! I am and continue to remain one of the few 8th edition WFB purebloods (by which I mean wargamers that play exclusively 8th edtion WFB). I wonder how many of us there remain. There are a fair few players on this forum that play 8th edition WFB, but how many of them play it exclusively, forsaking all others?

Exciting! The Mrs. and I each have one more present remaining for what we refer to as Festivus (in name only, @Mrs. NIGHTBRINGER shows little interest in partaking in the Feats of Strength or Airing of Grievances). We always put in on a random day after Christmas, this time around it falls on Monday January 3rd.

Even when there was no AoS, i was used to play 8th with occasional 7th games.

Thought I’d end this thread with all my hobby-related gifts I received last year. One little surprise not mentioned earlier was a pack of green stuff - time to explore a new side to the hobby!

A nice model that certainly doesn’t look out-of-place alongside the original GW Trolls:

As soon as I can get my paws on a 40mm square base, I can paint and base this lad and that’ll be my 3 Trolls finished.

Any ideas what that would be? Beastmen?

I’ve decided not to get anything more just yet due to my current pile of shame being MASSIVE, but that leaves a lot to look forward to in future!
