Both look great and you have painted them beautifully. I prefer green lizards myself. I do like the idea of the red stripe, makes your stuff stand out. And its pretty striking looking.
They both look very nice! I agree that you could mix and match and vary the amount of red stripe. Or, how about using them with the different troop types as you have them now; red/yellow-crested skinks are your spitters and red/yellow backs are your javelins? It will look striking on the battlefield AND make it easier for you to pick out who's who.
That would be too much in uniformity too my liking.. but I great idea to make different warpaint for different units. Then I can have both. If I can find a way to make subtle warpaint.
Both versions look great, personally I favor the red stripe as it is most unique. Keep in mind that from the old lore the units are "born/created" from spawning pools, and each unit would be spawned at the same time. This allows for different paint scheme between your different units, as has been mentioned earlier. This is a very easy way to see/remember the different unit types and their rules when playing.
If you don't mind I'm definitely going to take into consideration mixing and matching similar patterns between units to distinguish them easier haha!
