This post is currently a work in progress and will be added to over time, please feel free to submit any products you think you should be here.

    Last Update: 27/03/17

    Introduction

I've been quite a few posts asking "where do you get X", or "what is the best kind of Y" so it's about time we came up with a curated list of products we use, like, and dare I say it; endorse.

I will try and link to international suppliers where possible, however being from the European side of the pond, many of the products and suppliers listed will be European, or even UK only. Any help you can provide in posting your preferred local suppliers is greatly appreciated.

Note: There may be some crossover between categories, so products are listed in their best fitting category.

    1. Basing / Terrain

    1.1 Texture

    1.2 - Flock

    1.3 - Decoration

    1.3.1 - Flower Tufts

    Product:
Flower tufts (and grass tufts) in various colours and sizes.
    Supplier: War-Painter (Ebay)
    Location:
    UK
    Ships:
UK (Possibly also EU Confirmation needed)
Hints: These are one of the better tuft suppliers I have found, the tufts this guy makes can be cut easily and are super sticky by themselves, so not really any need for PVA.
Example: Image 1 (Red flowers, green grass)

    3. Modelling / Sculpting

    Product: Aztec design rolling pin
    Supplier: Green Stuff World
    Location: Spain
Ships: EU (Possibly worldwide, confirmation needed)
Hints: Get some Das air drying modelling clay and wet it, flatten it out with your palm in a piece of cling film, and only then roll it out. Wet the roller first! Then leave it 24 hours to dry before cracking it up into pieces.
Example: Image 1 (Cracked up and used on these bases)

    4. Generic Products

    Product: Das Modelling Clay
    Supplier: Various, Amazon
    Location: Worldwide
    Ships: Worldwide
Hints: This stuff is amazing. Wet it up and you get a very respectable amount of time to model with it. Let it dry for about 24 hours. Wet your finger and use it to smooth out any finger prints.
Example: Image 1 (Most of the base and the whole tree were sculpted using Das)

    Product: Gorilla Super Glue
    Supplier:Various, Amazon
    Location: Worldwide
    Ships: Worldwide
Hints: Applies thicker than any other super glue I have found, so holds its form in a nice little blob. Dries actually clear! Useful for applying models to prepared bases, or painted parts together when assembling. Use plastic glue for assembling as a general rule, but this when required.

I have started adding links to products and sites that I use, and have added a submissions template if anyone else wants to help out and post any products they find useful.

Thanks, have added the grass tufts. Will hold on on adding the Bits World site, need to decide the best way of organising the Conversion/Bits section - would ideally like it segmented up into specific products i.e. "heads", "cloaks" etc. rather than a generic site with a bunch of different stuff.

May add another section called generic sites for now :)

Added Gorilla Glue - been using this for a couple of weeks to assemble painted models, and to attach things to painted bases. It is legit amazing.

I just received the most awesome fur cloaks for my scar vet on cold one conversion, once it's painted up I'll add them to the list and take pics. Should be this week. Seriously good.
