After months of procrastination, here are some shots of my conversion: The pictures came out a bit crappy, but what can you do? *shrugs* And keep in mind, I finished him in early November, so my painting skills should be better now (I hope). So if anyone has any comments, questions, or constructive criticism, I'd be glad to lend you an ear! (eye, whatever; we're on the internet, you know what I mean).
Nice! It looks good. What model/models did you use to convert it? I noticed that the head looked like a Dark Elf Cold one head. The Plates of scales on the back looked like they cam from the new Kroxigors. Other than that, what did you use? What sculpting did you do? Have you played him yet? If so, how did that gp? Also, move the first [pic] to the front of the address so that your pictures show up in the post.
Oh my god! That is an awesome conversion! I see you used Steg plates for the back, a Cold One head, and temple guard standards for the weapon, but I can't pinpoint what the torso is. Maybe a Vermin Lord? Anyway, great model, and nice paintjob!
Lets play the identify game! I spot a body of a Deamon Prince, head of a DE Cold One, Steg back plates and howdah crest, Saurus warrior banners. Did you sculpt the tail yourself? At first it reminds me of something Tyranid. But I can't think what Tyranid has a tail like that. But anyway, looks cool! Good job. You combined everything well so it looks like it all fits together. EDIT: Actually I just noticed the Deamon Prince comes with that tail.
What an athletic Nakai !! ^^ I really like the conversion, congratulation my dear !! Just a criticism : I think the base is a bit "nude" : Nakai walks on Jungle all the time and go out when the lizardmen are in danger... More plants on the base would be better : when I see him, I think Nakai takes a walk on (not wild side !!) the Empire or Loren Forest ^^ Thank you for this beautiful miniature !! Morikun
Glad to see I'm getting such positive feedback! And AllSeeingSkink, you win first prize in that guessing game, those are exactly what I used. As for the sculpting, I had to do a little on his neck, as it didn't really fit. Also, while its not really sculpting, I had to smooth over his chest and the tops of his thighs with green stuff, because of all the Chaosy details (not really sure about the thighs though, its been a while and I may have forgotten a thing or two). Lastly, I had to use an almost ungodly amount of green stuff to act as filler between his back and the stegadon's butt plate, because it didn't fit at all; this is also the reason I will probably never do this conversion again, or even another one like it. But yeah, I'm happy with it so its fine.
