I was joking. And I'm not sure. I thought it stayed the same.

I’m not. Wouldn’t the nerfs be written in with the rest of the warscroll changes already? I would be surprised if they made more changes outside of the GHB.

Been very excited about the new summoning :)
Always been a fan of adding more units mid game (it adds extra levels to tactics and keeps opponents on their toes)

Can’t wait for this to drop. Next job find lots of cheap skinks on eBay :D

What are your thoughts on the wording of celestial conjuration points generation.

Will an astrolith generate points if you have no slann general? What about if your slann dies mid game?

Further, what about summoning once your slann has been killed, it doesn't mention that he is doing it and you are able to summon around the bearer..

I think the Slann will be the main summoner in out armies and as of now, perhaps The only summoner. I not shure if I like the notion that we cant use our new cool faction-power if we don't take one specific leader. But I guess the "must take cost" in points evens out considering we get to summon in more stuff for no point cost.

Does anyone have the full summon list?

Judging by the wording of the conjuration ability they have shown us in the faction focus it looks like you don't necessarily need a Slann for summining, but it makes sense.
Because even with perfect rolls by the Astrolith Bearer you will only generate 15 points in a whole 5 round game (three per round) and the average will be 10 points.

There might be a better way to round out this list, but off the top of my head this would be a "reasonable" max summoning list. I put reasonable in quotes, because you could play with 4 EoTGs, but then you lose the Starseer for rerolls and Curse of Fates, which both help you maximize your Celestial points and EoTG's chances of summoning. We did some quick math and with Curse of Fates, the Slann nearby, and some rerolls, you are looking at a 60-70ish % chance of the EoTG summoning. So roughly 2 of the 3 will pop off every turn. I threw in Handlers because I see myself summoning 3-4 Sallies in a turn and I don't want to summon them. BURN BABY!

    Slann Starmaster (260)
    Saurus Astrolith Bearer (160)
    Engine of the Gods (220)
    Engine of the Gods (220)
    Engine of the Gods (220)
    Skink Starseer (200)

    UNITS
    40 x Skinks (200)
    10 x Skinks (60)
    10 x Skinks (60)
    3 x Skink Handlers (40)

    BEHEMOTHS
    Bastiladon (280)

    SPELLS
    Cogs (60)

    TOTAL
    1980

Now that looks like a pure summoning force, the 3 Engine of the Gods made me chuckle though the Skinks have lost the 200 points for 40. I believe now it is 240 points unless I am mistaken.

As I understand the rulings the Slann should be able to conjure 9 points everything turn considering he can cast 3 spells in the hero phase. With the banner, that should make for a wholly different viabillity when it comes to summoning. If this is the case, I really like the aspect of beeing able to maybe summon something beastly on turn 2-3 but sacrificing spells, wich seems amazing in this edition.

That is correct. With a Slann you get
    3 Spells = 9 points
    Slann General = 1 point
    Astrolith Bearer = D3 points

The maximum (without Kroak) would be the above plus a Balewind Vortex and Chronomantic Cogs. Those two add 6 more points so you end up with 19 points total in one round.

Is it just me or do you also love the below scenario(s):

1)Your opponent has sent their big baddie after your Slann and is going to charge next round, or
    2) after a round or two of movement they let an opening in their lines and their own general/mage is vurnerable.

It's your turn 2 or 3 and you have summoning points up. You use your tp from you Slann to reposition your Astrolith Bearer, summon handlers and 4-5 Salamanders. You stay in range of the AB and then burn whatever is in front of you. I love that you can TP your AB and then summon things up to 12 inches away so you can really get your Sallies in the right position and keep one within 10 for the AB buff.

There must be a million combos like this, and I'm pumped to play them out.

I have just made a list very similar for the exact same reasons - except instead of 3x engines I have 2 and a dread Saurian to guard the slaan ;D

-Now to actually purchase said Saurian !
