Looking at the Shyish artefact, has there been any clarification on it usage?

"If 1 or more wounds are inflicted by on an enemy Hero by the bearer, roll a die. On a 5+ that Hero suffers d3 mortal wounds."

How frequently does this activate? Is it limited per phase per hero? If this was placed on an EotG is the hero key word only attached to the priest and the Cosmic Engine ability or can the artefact be applied to any of the weapon profiles? If it rules are lax here then potentially the EotG has more killing power vs characters.

Not sure how useful it is overall but improving the 6-9 and 10-13 results to the CE roll could be interesting for tagging multiple key units.

you need to deliver an area attack, that hits multiple enemy heroes.
It can happen, but it's an unlikely event, I personally wouldn't use my artefact slot for this.

It can help in sniping a hero with long ranged attacks, but it will probably trigger just once in a game

Yeah, it's definitely not the most consistent activation.

The main setup I had in mind was on the EotG within Saurus heavy lists. Even then this would be the 2nd or 3rd artefact to pick. The GoD would improve the likelihood of removing low wound support heroes like Hag Queens or Slaughterpriests with the EotG table rolls that occur most often. 1.33d3 MW at a 10" radius will also hurt level 1 wizards. That way when horde armies try to defend its cheap heroes we can circumvent it without investing into shooting or using up spell casts.

There is also the effects during shooting/combat but these seem like an added bonus.

meh, in between the engine effect, the javalins & the 2 melee attacks this is quite a decent improve to it's offensive capabilities. Should make him quite a decent anti-hero unit. Only downside is that it seems a bit expensive.
