Blog Greek themed Lizardmen (Dual Carno Gen and BSB update)

Hello Fellow Spawn Kin

I made a tread on here a wile back about my overly patriotic lizard men. I got overwhelmed by work, but i managed to keep working on my army, and i also entered a map based campaign and am so far undefeated after 10 battles. each battle leads to more motivation on giving my army character.

So in this new thread on my army i will also add a bit of commentary on each units "Tails of Glory".

**One last thing before we get started English is my third language out of 5 and well jack of all traits is a master of none** (READ: my English is horrible)

Theme Macedonian Greeks, that's why the Lion, it was the simple of King Alexander.

Unfortunetly i have not started on them yet when i do ill post picks.
Funny moment, i was playing against a High elf player in my campaign and he had the tipical teclis inside of his bunker of guards with the 2 heros in front so he is in the second rank you know the typical PAIN IN THE ASS list you see at every single tunroment at least once and the main reason why special characters are banned at many non GW turnoments.

Well i saw his block of awesome... and i raised him a 4 salamander BBQ xD the guys in the store actually started a betting pool each of my shooting faises of how many elvs i would cook by turn 3 there was only half a rank left xD

Saurus Scar Vet on Coldone (crown of command)
Kills: 140 rats, 24 Empire, 24 Elfs, and Elf Chariot, (all kills he made single handedly)
Survived: All the units above and 2 organ gun salvos and 1 warp-lighting cannon.
Deaths: So far survived 10 battles no deaths as of yet.

*ok so i bet when everyone reads "killed a bloodthurster single handedly" no one believes it well he did not do it all alone actually, he had the help of one small gem, "the other tricksters shard" you have no idea how much S7 and forcing re-roles on ward-saves... it was unbelievable also i had help from a bit of "Flesh to stone" ever now and then.

Wow, that is one incredible army Everything looks amazing! I'm not going to lie though, your Slann Mage Priest is by far my favorite! The colors on him are just fantastic!!!

Stunning! Did you cast the blocks with a dye/colouring agent? Or did you paint them?

The paint job on the slann is brilliant, love it.

Very creative conversion on the kroxigor, they look great.

I really like the temple's relief, and would really like to see a close up once it's finished. Why did you choose not to have any saurus/temple guard on the relief?

Hey i would love some feedback on this idea i just had.

i had some extra bricks and my other bases as they are cast out of my own silicon molds they dont come out 25mm they come out around 23mm which normal i would not mind BUT this means that 8 more temple guard get hit by enemy purple suns and pit of shaids. so as i am getting more into the turnoment scene i though i may want to come up with a new basing solution.

So i also wanted to do something epic and one thing i always hated was the gap between bases, nomater how great your basing theme is it is ALWAYS THERE!

So here is my idea.

The bricks i got from a hobby shop it was for some kind of model homes and castles i think.

And as for the temple as you can see in my army comp (which is my ideal army not the one i actually use in turrnoments but its how i would build a army if being competitive was not a issue) anyway you can see i love Saurus, so i realy wanted to use only Saurus in the relief, but i found in comparison to the deamons they just looked sooo static, thats when i remembered i had a spare carnosour laying around, and well then it grew into a kinda "Dinosaurs vs daemons" instead of "Lizardmen vs deamons"

so currently Im working on the temple columns, my plan is to make 1 that i really like then just make a mold of it.

So what do you think of it so far? any ideas on how to improve it?

and i made a mold so i could reproduce it without quickly, and i was pleased with the results.

Awesome! Having more at the base of the pillar really makes it look a lot more even from top to bottom!
