So i plan on going to a GT near me this up comming year. Shy of new army drops and FaQ's, i want to build a list and get practice in. It's a 2000pt tournament. These new armys are speed speed speed, and honestly seraphon lack the speed to keep up. But there is hope. We have 4 choices that can be clutch. (That i can think of) 1st tellaports 2nd summoning 3rd chameleon skinks 4th alpha strike (shadowstrike) Now out of those 4, only 1 of them is really a viable choice, the alpha strike, seeing as other than the skinks the rest have to say 9" out. The skinks are great to grab objectives, and if your lucky kill off a smaller hero. But for overall damage out put...... For this reason i want to bring at lest 1 units of 6. That way i can maximize a good amount of damage on larger heroes. Ideally. I also like the idea of bringing in a lord relector for his d3 mortal wounds, but it's the -1 to hit i need to go off. Tie that with starmasters vast intellect to use summon starlight for an extra -1. Now none of this set in stone, i just like the idea of this set up. I also really like having the eternal starhoast with the 2+ rerolls, and d3 damage. But can't seem to fit it in. Some ranged would be nice too, at least 24" range. To keep threat real. So help lol All i really care about at the moment is Slann starmaster Lord relector Ripperdactyl x6 (shadowstrike starhost) I'll definitely change list ideas. Just need some help
Welcome! That one is a problem. By your definition (24" range or more) we have ONE unit that can barely do it, which is the Stegadon with the Skystreak Bow. The next best one is the Bastiladon with 20" range. Unless you count Kroak's spells, which is probably one reason why @darren watson 's Kroaknado lists are so effective. So you have to use our fast units (Skinks are moving at cavalry speeds) or teleports to get into range. EDIT: Maybe using allies you can do it: Celestant-Prime is an option, and so is a Knight Venator if you really need that long range stuff.
I saw your idea of a relictor on Facebook and thought that was a good call. If you have room for another 220 points you could include 2 Tempestors. That's a guaranteed -1 to hit with a bigger threat range.
The good and/or annoying (depending on who plays him) thing about the Relictor and SCE in general is that the buff isn't magic but a prayer. So no unbind and stackable.
I was definitely thanking allie in Judicaters 2x 5, prime holding the starburst arow. Theres something to be said about early ranged threat, no one likes there modles being shot off the table. Especially by stormcast. There maily distractions, if my opponent starts to worry about them theyll focus some units onto the judicaters leaving me a chance to work away some of there other units. But thats also 320pts i cant seem to fit in...
I didnt even know they could do that, a -3 would be devastating. And just some more numbers to thank about .
In this GT last years rules, prevent any effects with the same name to stack. So cant bring two lord relectors, or 2 astrulth barrers to double down. But yes if i could stack like that, i would consider 2 in a heartbeat

Coronal shield on a character and you have a potential -4 to hit.. all the debuffs. Shame we can't ally in a frost pheonix for -1 to wound as well
Right i have 2 frosthearts. i was hoping for aelf allies, mainly brcause my other army is aelfs. But also because high aelfs where the allies of the seraphon for so long.
I was hoping the pheonix timple would allie with the free people so i could use there casters. Allie in sister of thrown, arcmage, and battle mage.... 4+ reroll able save, with an extra effect for a 3rd 4+ save, and a 6+. I own 2 frostheart pheonixs with the battlemage thats a -2 with aura and a -1 with the fog. Down fall is another slow moving army thats supper defensive.
Unfortunately Seraphon can only have SCE as allies, and only SCE can have Seraphon as allies. So there are three ways to combine Seraphon and Aelfs: 1. Play an SCE army and bring Aelfs and Seraphon as allies. Maximum 400 points combined though. 2. Play a Grand Alliance Order army. The allegiance abilities kinda suck though. 3. Don't play matched play then you can bring whatever you want.
Well of course, but we digress from the point of the post. Dose anyone have any list ideas with what we talked about in it? So far: Starmaster Lord relector Ripperdactyls x6 Shadowstrike starhost Judicaters/Tempestors Also the skink priest makes most since for the shadowstrike seen the starmaster can get access to the others spells/ effects throw vast intellect. Unless we deam it worthy to use the double tellaport over vast int.

The mix of Saurus and Skinks strikes me as a bit odd. Any particular reason for that? Otherwise an interesting list!
Well i need 2 units of skinks for the shadow strike. And it dosent make since to bring less then 20 in each unit. To hold objectives After working some numbers, i decided the larger number of tjem makes more since for point cost. The warriors are ideal for holding up in combat large numbers there just makes since. So warriors tarpit, and skinks objectives.
