I'd say that Nighthaunt still have the most fragile-looking models, but otherwise I agree.

As do I, but I fear it might cost a fair bit - I wonder if my Idol of Gork from Battle of Skull Pass would count as one; it has a Bad Moon on it and a cavernous maw in one side, only thing is it’s a bit on the small side... :cyclops:

I'd imagine the Battle for Skull Pass version will be absolutely tiny in comparison. That doesn't prevent you from using it in your games however.

Agreed. It will be titchy but this new piece is essentially just a magnified version of it. In fact there was a post on the Grand Alliance forums that was saying it was based on some concept art for Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning, so it actually has origins in Warhammer Fantasy. It’s still there...;)

That's pretty much all of AoS. They ported over most of the models, special characters and themes. It's just a simplified watered down version. Of course they have now added their own unique flavour to it as the game has developed.

There are even more fragile models. Take a look at the Daughters of Khaine - I would be afraid just to move the Kinerai units

Or even the basic Witch Elves as a matter of fact - because each of them is standing on a thin piece of ruin on one foot on tiptoes, it could be worryingly easy to break them off.

Fragile as the hoppers may be, they’re certainly continuing GW’s set of really dynamic models that effectively began with the Savage Orcs and continued with the Witch Elves, Vulkite Berzerkers and most recently Squig Hoppers and Fanatics.

Beautiful modes, but they're made more for a showcase...

The Savage Orcs and Vulkites are actually pretty stable - GW got those models to only have one foot on the ground yet their chunky legs makes them more difficult to break. It’s the Witch Elves that first turned the breakability risk up to 11. While they aren’t my cup of tea specifically, they are still incredibly dynamic and yet full of grace as murderous Elf women are - kudos to the designers for that.

I have two boxes of them and I don't find them that breakable

Addendum: the fact that my witch elves are still on sprue and in their original boxes might be swaying my analysis of their relative structural integrity.

As further consideration, I cannot think to any sigle reason why GW should sell expensive but fragile models. :p

I love the fact that you use a Star Trek term for Warhammer minis.

    *Witch Elf’s foot snaps off*

    “Structural Integrity compromised sir!”

Others have been saying that you can run a troll-only army so happy days! Apparently it was mentioned in the lore video but I haven't watched it yet

Neither have I - I did intend to watch it so I’ll do so when I’ve got time. That sounds an interesting prospect at any rate - we may well be getting Troll characters (Although I’d be pretty surprised if it happened due to Trolls being extremely stupid)

That mushroom troll did look pretty stupid (for underworlds), but the new squigs were pretty cool!
