glad to find another site dedicate to the advancement of the Old ones! Lord-Karnik former dwarf re-born as a lizard.... Hehe, join the club. Tired of hunkering down in a corner and shooting? I still love the stunties, it's just that the new books have quite literally "boxed them into a corner". Welcome to an army that can go skirmishy movement based like wood elves all the way to good old hammer and anvil (and magic, oh my!)
thanks cane- yes the stunties are a bit slow, but I always found advance out to meet the foe yeilded me a more complete victory. as for the lizards I am still skeptical of magic but I will have to give it a go at some point
Yeah, there were times I found myself marching across the board and actually pulling victories against wood elves. The anvil helps a lot for getting yourself into some good combats. I'm pretty well ignoring magic at first, but fully embracing the guerilla-style tactics and high movement. Nice to know that if I don't like that playstyle I can change things up a bit by throwing in some different unit choices.
