Hey guys, so we have a “Mega Battle” coming up at my LGS pitting Order/Chaos against Death/Destruction. Good news is my painting hobby is about to evolve into a gaming hobby, bad news is I just have a mishmash of models with no coherent direction. Could anyone help me make some sort of workable list with what I’ve got? Heroes: Slann and Kroak Skink Starpriest Saurus Sunblood (was supposed to be an Eternity Warden but my LGS messed up the order) Carnosaur (both Oldblood and Scar Vet can be used) Scar Vet on Cold One Battleline: 20x Saurus Warriors 15x Knights 15x Guard Misc: 1 Bastilodon (Solar) Troglodon Razordon 1 Unit of Rippers I was thinking of running my guards and my knights since I don’t have enough warriors to be really effective but honestly this is the first list I’m making and I’ve got no idea what to do with half a sandwich. Thanks in advance!!
I would try and play the Sunblood as a counts-as Eternity Warden to be able to play an Eternal Starhost. Then add a Bastiladon and a Starpriest and/or Priest and/or Slann for support. You could even play a mini Kroaknado if you get a Balewind Vortex. Rough example: Allegiance: Seraphon Leaders Saurus Eternity Warden (140) - Artefact: Prism of Amyntok Lord Kroak (450) - General Skink Starpriest (80) - Artefact: Incandescent Rectrices Battleline 5 x Saurus Guard (100) - Seraphon Battleline 5 x Saurus Guard (100) - Seraphon Battleline 5 x Saurus Guard (100) - Seraphon Battleline Behemoths Bastiladon (280) Battalions Eternal Starhost (130) Scenery Balewind Vortex (100) Total: 1480 / 1500 Allies: 0 / 400 Wounds: NaN Tactics: Kroak nukes everyone who can do mortal wounds and buffs a bit, Starpriest debuffs enemies so they cannot roll sixes. Guards claim an objective and protect Kroak, Basti too.
That looks like a solid plan. I wasn’t able to get ahold of the Balewind Vortex. Would it be worth just throwing in either a Razordon or the unit of Rippers just to flesh out the points I would have used for the Vortex?
Kroak is still a beast even without the Vortex. Just fill up with something you have. Ranged support is a good idea. An Astrolith Bearer would also be a good choice, and he can easily be kitbashed from Saurus Warriors.
