So it won't have escaped the more astute among you but my new forum name is becoming it's own character and as such we have created "Lizardmas" @BeardyGecko I would like this thread to be used for people to suggest which gifts which Lizardmen and dinosaurs would get if they woke up on one marginally colder day of the year . Pictures welcome elaborations encouraged - I look forward to hearing what you come up with. (Long term goal using greenstuff to make these gifts for my model or if you're feeling especially kind and creative you could have a go at making them yourselves however I don't have a clue of scale yet so I will have to update this conversation when i'm making him). I'm making a list of candidates, Nice List: Lustrian New (An alcoholic beverage) @Deusvult [✓][✓] Chocolate Slannta-clause @Warden [✓][✓] Naughty List: Coal for Salamanders @BeardyGecko [✓][✓] Hippopotamus for Carnosaurs @spawning of Bob [✓][✓]
Well down here in Australia, it is damn hot on christmas so a few stubbies of Lustrian Extra Dry would not go astray.
There is a beer company here called Toohey's. One of the brews is Toohey's Extra Dry, or Toohey's New is the heavier beer (read as better imho). So it could be called Lustrian New if you wanted.
This looks like the stuff the stag branding is perfect for replacing with some dinosaur counterpart So great Idea it'll be on the list for sure. Lustrian New coming to a watering hole near you soon (Watch this space).
Had to post that picture. Maybe some sort of chocolate? The lands of the Lizardmen are known for the "cocoa" plants, whose ground seeds produce liquids of great sweetness. Also I hear they add extra taste to these "hot cocoa" drinks by gathering marshmellows, which are probably small white fruits that grow in swamps. Or, when the Lizardmen freeze the cocoa into its solid state, could be fashioned into tasty morsels of a holiday nature. Like a chocolate slannta-clause for spawnlings who made it onto the nice list. I wonder if they decorate any jungle trees with lights somehow? What would Lizardmas be without a Lizardmas tree?
Now that I think about it... I did have some fresh chocolate bars in Honduras once, and they were very bitter. I am guessing heaps of sugar is what makes it sweet?
Maybe the salamanders would actually enjoy some coal? Otherwise some sugar coated crickets for that extra crunch might be good.
