AoS Meeting Engagements.. what would work?

    So i have a tournament coming up but I'm not sure what would fit for us and I've yet to see any discussion here, could be wrong though.. what be our best best?

    And has anyone played Meeting engagements?

    Saurus Guard, Carnos, Razordons, and Terradons seem to be our best units for Meeting Engagement. Skinks are too easy to kill and generally feed your opponent points for winning combat.

    This is my go to Meeting Engagements list. I have only played it at my local gaming club so far and not tested it at any large events.

    SPEARHEAD:
    Saurus Sunblood

    MAIN BODY:
    Skink Starpriest

    - Command Trait : Master of Star Rituals
    - Spell : Meteoric Convocation

    Saurus Eternity Warden (140)
    - Artefact : Incandescent Rectrices
    10 x Saurus Guard (160)

    REARGUARD:
    10 x Saurus Guard (160)
    2 x Razordons (100)

    Battalion:
    Eternal Starhost
    (150)

    TOTAL: 990/1000
    EXTRA COMMAND POINTS: 1
    WOUNDS: 49

    Saurus Units seem to be our army's best option for Meeting Engagements. Sadly Skinks are too easily killed and will thus feed the enemy Victory Points.

    This list has the potential to struggle with fighting high rend behemoths.

    is this the list you still use? im going into a meeting engagement tournament tomorrow and this list isnt legal, (cant have more than 2 units per warscroll, and this has 3 guard)

    The Guards are part of a battalion, that makes them legal.

    I am playing this list at the moment. It performs well so far with the exception of tzeentch.

    where does it say that... i dont have my book with me, but i just did a meeting engagement event yesterday and that wasnt part of it

    It is in the GHB under ME unit restrictions. If you have a battalion you can ignore some of the count restrictions on units. I can pop into the clubhouse and check the GHB2019 for the exact pg# Monday.

    Granted I won, 3 rounds, 2 majors and a minor. the battle plans were changing priority, the one where you can burn your enemies objective, and the one with only one obj in the centre
