I also prefer less clothed skeletons (funny, I like Mantic Skellies although they also wear a lot of clothes), but they have potential!

I like mantic skellies too. Painted damn near 200 of them. Just wishing for resin or plastic boney/Egyptian undead (that don't cost a fortune - looking at you TMS)
 
I too prefer my skeletons more naked... These guys have too much armour on... Swap their heads and they're just dirty humans.

Also why are all their arms bony, but all their hands just like normal hands...

Nah I just think they are a bit rough sculpting-wise. At least in that regard.
...or maybe it is just a heroic scale fist.... :D
