Hi guys, I've been building up my units and am playing a final 1.0 game next week against IronJawz. I'm still relatively new to this so could do with some advice. Here is the 2k army I've put together (slightly over, but friend will match points): I'm limited by what I have available. So models that I also have that can be used are: 10 x warriors 1 x Engine of the Gods, or Stegadon 1 x Scar Vet on Carno, or Oldblood on Carno 1 x Trogladon Do you guys think this 2k will work ok? Or should I go back to the drawing board? I unfortunately don't own a slann or kroak yet.
I am not sure two bataillons are worth it in a 2k list. I think you can play it and it can work, but it isn't quite optimal.
Hmm, I think you're right in hindsight. I was looking at it again this morning and I think I'm going to drop the firelance, go with two 5 units of knights, drop the scar vet and add a trogladon and engine of the gods.
Knights are OK in Firelance or Bloodclaw but if you're just taking two units to fill out battleline you will be better off just splitting the skink unit into three and spending the remaining points on behemoths. Knights without the appropriate buffs pack about as much wallop as a wet fart and against Ironjawz in particular will get completely rolled in retaliation.
