I have ordered two types of magnets to use on Aeronautica Imperialis, but I am struggling to locate beads that the magnets will work on that size with a hole in them.

The magnets I am talking about is these:

For the beads, I am looking for something like this:
    https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32847181498.html

I tried ordering those, though due to being stainless the combination with the magnets the strength is not enough to hold the model in place.

I am looking for any type of bead that is 4 to 6 mm in size and have a hole in the middle and is either of some type of iron that will allow it a strong connection with the magnet, or actual magnet beads.

If anyone has an idea where I can locate this, I would be grateful :)

Stainless steel is all but non-magnetic. Found that out trying to magnetize tank turrets.

4.5mm BBs for BB guns ought to stick. But they lack a hole. (What is the purpose of the hole in the bead?

Maybe “Iron” beads is the thing to order?

Yea, the problem is the hole. I need the hole as the plan is to remove the "top" of the flying stand and then fix the bead to it with the help of a pin.

Could you use steel washers stuck together with super glue?

In the worst case, this would work.

The reason I am looking for a bead is due to the magnet I have purchased has a countersunk hole in it. Together with a bead on the top of the flying stand, that will make it possible to set the model into any type of position "on the fly", instead of making a fixed one when creating the model.

What if you embedded the BB in the aircraft/spaceship model and put the magnet (that does have a hole) on the top of the flight stand post? DF773174-0957-4673-AE98-53293191D0CE.jpeg

You could even double up on magnets (and maybe get a bigger range of positions) by having the BB between two magnets. You could glue the BB to one of them permanently.

That is actually a good idea! I will go this route if I am not able to locate any beads with a hole in them.
