My GW local is having an anniversary celebration in June and they are having a conversion contest with no rules other than the model is a majority of GW product or custom built. I have several options as to what I want to enter, but I wanted the opinion of you guys as to which model I should put forth as my one and only entry (note that if you feels its one of the unpainted models, I will be painting it in time for the contest, but the judging is on conversion alone) My possible entries are... The Engine of the Gods The Saurus Champ on Cold One Kroxigor Ancient The Daemon Prince of Slaanesh The Chaos War Shrine Please be honest, I would really like to land a prize with one of these suckers! Wow, all of these are amazing... that chaos cart makes me think of Braveheart I would go with the Engine to enter, but possibly the chaos cart. I guess it depends on if the judges want something that is more heavily converted(the chaos cart) or something that is simply breathtaking(the engine). In any case, good luck!
Yeah I think you do need to look at the judging criteria more closely if you can. Are they looking for a really good looking model that flows well, or a most extensively converted one? Or a bit of both? Really i like the kroxigor a lot, but since it is mostly a head swap and weapon modification its not big on the conversion front. I'd go either for the cold one champ or the engine. Pick the one oyu are most proud of and put the most work into.
I would also go with the engine just because of the stunning paint job and the awesome conversion. I really like the idea for the slannesh daemon prince though and also the warshrine. They are all good!
Well everyone seems keen on the EoTG (I think everyone is just partial to lizards here, lol), and that is the path of least resistance since it's based and painted. So I will go with that one! It's on June 12th, so I will let you know how I fare! Thanks again!
