I would just like to say that I consider myself quite noob at painting so any constructive criticism, comments, or suggestions are much appreciated. so without further ado: my slann original saurus color scheme (pink base with blue wash and turquoise dry) final color scheme (regal blue base, purple wash, turquoise dry) Cold One (red gore, purple wash, blood red picking out the scales. basically how i did all my shields as well since the saurus would get the scale shields from somewhere) Salamanders (fortress gray with nuln oil over it for the skin, blazing orange with details picked out in chaos black for scales, frill is golden yellow with red wash) skinks (handlers atm, liche purple, purple wash, turquoise drybrush) (both skinks and saurus skin is bestial brown washed with devlan mud, then drybrushed bubonic brown)
Very nice work. I am not a big fan of using the chaos hounds as salamanders but those look really nice.
i have a metal dremmel and even then getting those dirty marks of chaos off was a chore! but i like the effect and the models way better than the new GW models. would have gotten the old ones but I found these in a discount bin, so I made do
some WiP shots! yay! I am attempting to make a squad of 10 converted chameleon skinks rising out of a swamp. The conversion from skink to chame is quite simple, just lop off their crest and end of tail then add a green-stuff curl and some swively eyes. These are even easier as I am having at least their waist underwater so no tail conversion is needed. here are my first 4 models. (I am still trying to figure out what I am going to do for the swamp water so any suggestions on that would be GREATLY appreciated) I haven't done any of the greenstuffing 1) because I want to get them all glued down and put together first and 2) because I don't have access to it at the moment
Good looking stuff so far. I like all the little conversion work you've done so far and the chamo skinks look promising.
