Get the Chameleon stalker model, and add to it. Maybe some wicked scars, or a shoulder harness with a bunch of mysterious pouches on it. Or maybe some wrinkles, from being lost in the Realm of Chaos for so long. These are just ideas, anyways. I think there was a model for him back in the day, but it's ugly and I doubt you could find it easily.

That is sweet. It looks a lot like the old model, but a better pose and such.

to bad shipping is 20 dollars to the netherlands, thats just to much for 1 model.
if anybody is ordering this model, can they order me one also.
i can pay you through paypal.

shipping in an padded envelope is likely to be cheaper than 20 dollars.

I'm converting a regular skink to make mine. Here is how I'm going to do it: http://santacruzwarhammer.blogspot.com/2008/02/converting-lizardmen-chameleon-skinks.html

I still need to re-pose him into a little bit of a crouch and greenstuff the eyes and tail, but here is the project to this point:

I figured a decent idea would be to cut the crest from a regular skink and glue it onto a cameleon stalker. And then convert it in some other interesting manner, like sticking him on a piece of wood. Still got the achient model lying around, but quite frankly it looks a bit dorky.

As far as how he looks, no. He must have the same base size 20mmx20mm. His rules are listed in the book.

As long as opponents know what a model is meant to be it is fine. So don't make him an empire soldier or something, but if you base it on a skink and make it significantly different from a skink then it is fine. Most people when making special characters from scratch go ff the sketch of them in the army book, which works well.

    Sorry about the thread necromancy, but, . . . . .

I made a custom Oxayotl with a plastic Skink and some green stuff.

Shouldn't you have cut his sail off? Other than that, it looks pretty good! I would advise painting the stick though. It looks better than when it's just left bare like that.

    Glad you liked it.

I did actually cut the tail off and made a curled tail with green stuff.

I left the wood bare for two reasons. 1.) I liked how the wood looked already. 2.) I wouldnt have known how to paint it even if I had wanted to.

I thought that was a typo to start with as well... I'm pretty sure asrodrig actually meant the crest on his head when he said sail, not the tail. I could be wrong though.

I like it, looks pretty cool. Painted wood does tend to look better than natural though, more realistic. Nature just doesn't do a good enough job of making things look real. :p Strange but true. Just start with a dark brown, drybrush it up with lighter browns, than slap some black ink or wash on it to bring out the detail. Of course there are many different shades of trees so it depends on whether you want a dark tree or a light tree as to which browns and how much wash you use.
