I said I would do this to try and help those struggling with horns. We are painting the left horn in this example.

First off paint the full horn Zandri dust, when dry wash with Agrax earthshade pay more attention where the horn meets the body.

Reapply Zandri dust to almost the end leave just a bit of Agrax showing.

Next overlay with Ushabti bone but start near the Agrax and make lines going up the horn try to keep the lines in the horn mould visable.

Fully paint the horn Ushabti bone try to not have any harsh lines.

Now paint the horn Screaming skull start about 4/5mm away from the Ushabti and work up the horn again try not to leave a harsh line, stagger it a bit.

Now this is where the horn comes alive, take Rhinox hide and thin it a little then apply a thin line where the horn meets skin.

While it’s still wet on your brush just wiggle it out up the horn about 2mm

That’s it all done rinse and repeat, on small horns you can skip the Screaming skull.

You can take them further but this is a simple one to hopefully help those that struggle.

Funnily enough, I have my stegadon with me to combat batch painting fatigue and I took the paints to do horns so this is perfect. Pictures will be posted. Nice one!
