AoS Quad Carno for fun

    Was playing around with lists and thought I would try a variation of the list I Took to a few GTs a couple years back. Doesn’t have all the bloodclaw awesomeness but everything got a bit cheaper, and it gains a slann and dracothians tail. Without the ability to spam buffs I don’t think it could be very competitive but I feel like a bunch of carnosaurs will definitely win games. Plus it’s just cool having an army of Dino’s riding Dino’s.

    Four Carno's is always a fun list. Doppelganger's Cloak has also made this list even better as dealing with monster tiering has always been one of its weaknesses. It might be worth putting the Miasmic Blade on one of the ScV to help reduce it tiering as well. The Slann should be pretty safe in Cover with BwV and Cogs.

    Yeah I think that would be a good idea as well. I was worried about keeping the slann alive as my summons is how I expect to hold objectives most games.

    I think this would be better with 3 oldblood carnos and 1 scar vet carno (just for the battalion), or all oldblood carnos and a cold one scar vet. This ensures that they can't just target down 1 oldblood to remove the command ability, and gives you some additional shooting to clear out some screening units.

    I'd also run Hysh for Aetherquartz Brooch (on either the scar vet carno or a cold one scar vet) instead of doppelganger cloak. Cloak is good, but getting that chance at stacking all your carnos with +12 attacks is probably better, especially if you have 3-4 oldblood scar vets to benefit from it.

    Ah I remember the old Quad Carno list from back in the day.
    This one sounds incredibly fun. :)

    I would run Palisade instead of Swords. That might be my preference but it stops shooting from one area and is a nice road block when needed. Can help protect a flank and let you dominate with 4 big dinos on the other. Might try it out myself. :)

    Ok so I couldn't find my 4th Carno so I am running the list with 3 and a Dread Saurian because big dinos are fun! Slann, 2 Oldblood on carno, one scar vet on carno, 3 min knight units, Dread. Cogs, BWV with DT and Firelance. Game is set for this evening should be fun!

    Especially since serpant staff on carno or dread jaws is deadly.

    It’s too bad bravery isn’t really a thing for most people. Could definitely do some fear shenanigans with this one.

    Double Dread probably isn't worth it from a competitive point of view, but it sure sounds awesome and it would be pretty shocking for many opponents! :D

    So The Roar ability on the Cardenas is pretty amazing. If any battleshock test is taken you roll a die and if its higher D3 models flee. Even if the opponent rolling cannot fail by the dice they still must roll. Unless they spend a command point to auto pass which bypasses the roll. I used it to great effectiveness against expensive stormcast. In addition to any that run due to bravery loss etc. Double Dread is certainly fun and I do have a list with 3 Dreads in it for the LOLZ. :)

    Yeah bloodroar is awesome for killing entire units of multi-wound elites. Make sure that you have the banner for the knights in range to penalize their bravery to make the most of their battleshocks.
