Water effects are nice, what did you use?

Slann looks good too, contrast is excellent.

Woodland scenic realistic water then added the waves with woodland scenic water effects, I painted the base blue/grey around his body then while wet blended in greens, applied a thin coat of realistic water then let it dry added another coat but tinted it green then a final coat tinted blue, added the water effects then drybrushed white on the crests.

Pleased with the model to say it's just spare bits.

I've bought some clear resin for a more ambitious project later on in the year.

Changing the hands to purple really did help in framing him, glad you passed on some of your knowledge from the masterclass. ;)

Looks nice, I'm thinking either water or snow bases for whatever army I do next.

The intense spot colours on the throne also add a lot.

I love the water base! And the whole troglodon looks awesome. I wish I could also create such a lovely base .)
Slann's purple hands give him the contrast needed and rounds him up perfectly. Very nice job!

Wow! You did a phenomenal job on that Troglodon! (I might have to steal that idea....:jimlad:)

And the base for your Slann looks super cool! I bet you had fun with that!

Believe it our not the base took about 20 minutes with an airbrush and a scouring pad ;)

Oh, I can tell, but it still looks great! That's exactly the kind of effect you want to get when using an airbrush on a flat surface. People don't realize just how difficult creating a layered effect on a flat surface actually is, until they try it.

I think that's the best "swimming Troglodon" I have seen yet. Great job!
The Slann is nice as well. :)

You said you made your Troglodon from spare parts, did you use the main body part or was that a spare you has as well? I don't think I have enough parts to make one like that without using the main body.

As mentioned elsewhere...wow... I really love what you’ve done with the troglodon. I was going to have the head poking out a cave (to use the trog part of his name) and have it as a piece of themed scenery but to see it harnessed as a usable model.... Bravo.
