Now he's looking more like this! Pleased with the base colours just lots of highlighting to do.

Looks really good, what highlight colour are you using, orange or yellow or both?

Going to start with evil sunz scarlet which is orangey red still. Then probably an orange, i think troll slayer is the one. I'm not too keen on yellow highlights for red.

I know what you mean with the yellow, looks like we have a growing Primaris following...

Very nice space marine, I was just watching a video on edge highlighting on a marine of similar color.

This isnt something I have attempted yet, but if/when I get back to repainting my green black templars I will try it out. :artist:

Definitely a lot of primaris recently!

So how do you lot feel about Spiders and Goblins?

I've ordered this box for £32 which seemed like a steal, I'm thinking of doing real life jumping spider patterns on the little dudes.

I have some that my daughter has been painting, if you want to expand your welcome to them.

They are great models to paint and pretty quick to get done.

I like the Spiders. But I have no other Destruction stuff and they don't make much sense on their own. But if I had Bonesplitterz or Grots I'd maybe get some.

20170908_201816.jpg got a cheap light box that seems to help quite a bit! This guy is still WIP mind.

Doing a test gribbly, he looks a bit brighter in person. I'm thinking of keeping the spiders fairly subdued and making the Goblins quite bright?

Still very much in the basic layer and shade state at the moment, but looking for opinions on the general colours and whether there is too much/not enough going on, not sure what to do with the outer bit of the shield, I see them as being stone age tech wise so metal would look odd I think.

I'm intending to use blue as warpaint as well, think that's too much?

    Thoughts always appreciated!

    Blue warpaint is good.
and early shields where often made of wood with a leather rawhide band going around the edge..
