The dreaded Under Empire has terrorised the surface dwellers of the Warhammer World with seeming impunity. Its not funny when Skaven appear in your living room with the intent of using your innards as comic relief. Many consider the Grey Tide to be unstoppable, but the truth is, that for every famous victory, those cowards and sneaks suffer several ignominious defeats. Their primary tactic of appearing without warning from tunnels can, at times, be a weakness.

Of course, there can only be one overall winner, and I wish to thank that person for providing some of the most disturbing images yet seen in the Warhammer World. His (or her) entry distills the lithe dynamism of a falling cow with the disturbing lack of scale or perspective which we have come to expect from Games Workshop. Students of high art should examine the use of a low point of view, a Spanish jockstrap and a deft excuse to embellish what might otherwise have been a mundane image.

As befits his status as Champion of all Lustria, Newscales receives the "Conquistador del la Rata"

Can someone check on n810? Bob thinks he may have been abducted by Skaven.

Bob had this all ready to go and everything...



Bob has a couple more in the pipeline, but they are soooo time consuming to do, that the publishing date was being pushed out unsatisfactorily.

I'll edit them into the original post (along with any other suggestions that you might have)

Great work on each picture. I like the dwarf and the ogre best I think.

OK, back to hurtin' Skaven. New failures are edited into the original post.

Bob offers you a challenge.

Find attached your favourite comical rats emerging from floor, roof, ceiling, underground, wherever.

They can be used as per the "Council of Elrond" incursion.


Qupakoco can go find his own Tyranid Mawloc (I looked for it in the WHFB bestiary, couldn't find it. Must be in Storm of Magic). Anyone else is welcome to go seeking whatever peril they desire.

For the survivors, the challenge is this:

Post here your best effort for "Skaven fail to invade Pamplona during the running of the bulls"

Son and Daughter of Bob will be the judges. A prestigious award awaits. Bonus points if you also include a Chuck Norris themed invasion.

Technical notes:
I use MS paint cos' its free. Copy an image from the web. Paste image into paint. Copy your chosen rats from this page and paste on top. Resize, rotate, flip and position the rats before you click anywhere else. Use the eyedropper tool to "pick up" the background colour from the original image and then the bucket tool to fill the area around the rats. If blending is required, I usually use the spray can. If you don't do microsoft, you are obviously a lot smarter than me and won't need instructions.

And thank-you, Old Mossy. If you hadn't put me onto MS paint for the dice project back in March, I would still be drawing stick figures.
