This is the first of a planned series of guides to help the novice Lizardmen player negotiate their way through the perilous maze which is the Warhammer rulebook. Weapon Special Rules The first Rule is, of course, to take some weapons, ensure they are in good repair, and ensure you know how to use them effectively. Some weapons have a purely defensive function, while others can be selected to exploit weaknesses in an opposing force. Many weapons are subject to restrictions of which units can use them, which units should be not be allowed to use them, and of course which units would equip particular weapons purely as a matter of style or preference. For example, the antipodean saurus warriors of Australustria eschew the use of the spear as a close combat weapon, and the Australustrian skink skirmishers use their own subtle flavour to enrich the cuisine of “get them before they get you”. Spawning of Bob hopes that this guide has been useful and informative. Of course, the 8th Edition Warhammer Rulebook is the definitive reference on all things related to weapon rules. Remember, the BRB is authoritative and infallible.
Re: Spawning of Bob, Wisdom of the Old Ones, Weapon Tips & R OK, maybe 9th edition will be the one which is authoritative and infallible.
Re: Spawning of Bob, Wisdom of the Old Ones, Weapon Tips & R (BRILLINAT STUFF BOB) EDIT: "What is that?" "It's a Major Award!" "Shucks, I wouldn't know that. It looks like a lamp" "you say won it? " "Yeah, mind power, Swede; mind power""
Re: Spawning of Bob, Wisdom of the Old Ones, Weapon Tips & R Highly entertaining, Bob. I really enjoyed the two 'Lance' toons. The first one is golden!
Re: Spawning of Bob, Wisdom of the Old Ones, Weapon Tips & R Yes Arli, It was Lance who inspired Bob to pick up the pencil and create this series. Bob's bicycle is gathering dust.
Re: Spawning of Bob, Wisdom of the Old Ones, Weapon Tips & R Yeah Arli, It is demoralising when your opponents are using unknown substances to boost their performance. Why would you even bother trying to compete ? At least Warhammer is not like that.
Thanks Mr Doomer. Am sitting on another longer cartoon series WIP which has been brewing since AUg ust last year. I need to clear some other projects off the slate first, though. I hope you have found all the other fiction and art (mine and others) which are indexed on page 1 of the Lustriapedia (follow the link in my signature) Do you write or draw? The L-O art competition is still open for the next few weeks, and short story comps come around regularly.
I often don't get enough socks for Christmas....it's a dream, but one day i willl be warm from my head tomatoes. I know they'll turnip in my stocking sooner or later. I can't beet a good browse of old Bob-art so I'm glad you're working on another comic thread - you're the big dill in forum cartoons. Lettuce hope you post it soon. Not to be pushy: I don't want to get jalapeño business. This thread gave me a twinge of nostalgia for 8th. It's about thyme Bob should do an AoS, or don't you carrot all for the game?
Thread necromancy, but I am reminded of a joke my dad mentioned. My dad loved biking as a hobby. He went to a large event in Colorado attended both by hundreds of amateurs (like my father) and dozens of professionals (like Lance Armstrong who came as part of a paid endorsement). Lance ,of course, finished way before my dad did, but as my dad pointed out years later after the scandal was well known. "I finished without disqualifying performance enhancing drugs, so I can say I beat Lance Armstrong on this race." Sigh I miss Father of Scalenex. Anyway, better get back to writing and stop spooling through archived fluff entries. I'd like to see you visit more often @spawning of Bob
Fun fact: Spawning of Bob has won the same number of Tours de France AND has the same number of testicles as Lance Armstrong.
