So after this little guy sitting in his bag, finally got round to building him and started the painting of him.

My plan was to dry brush him back to cream as I have done with my other big beasts, but now I am thinking other things so it might work or go horribly wrong lol.

But for now enjoy the little guy

Awesome! Any tips for construction? Mine is ready for building, but I've never built something quite this large out of resin before.

I've heard the cast has gaps when assembled did you find that was the case?

Also interested if you ran into any issues putting him together as I'll be getting one myself soon. Looking good so far :)

    Hi

The two tail parts, head to the neck and the 3 legs that support the weight are all pinned, just used a paper clip. The lower jaw is just super glued on, but the head is pinned.

I filled in all the gaps using a white putty similar to the Vallejo putty but mine was just a generic brand. Used mostly my finger and a couple of dentist tools to push it into the gaps etc.

Other than that no real issues.

Thanks a bunch! Definitely going to try and get my Saurian together over the next day or so. I plan to paint him black with light blue stripes, similar to Ironhide Devilsaurs of WoW.
I'm considering getting him a twin, who I'd do white with red/pink patterns for a whole yin-yang thing.

I t does indeed have very big gaps, specially the legs. Nothing that pinning and green stuff won´t solve though!

The blue makes me think of little barnacles on his skin.

If I ever were to make a big model like this I would probably add little bits of dirt and foliage to his skin, make it look like he is so huge he doesn't care that plants are living on him.

Trying to decided what colour to the the main spikes, either carry the theme that is on the body over to the spines, or go with some contrasting colour like yellow/orange/red style

Are you doing the armour gold?

I think if you go dark grey to light grey on the spikes and teeth like GW does the Chaos stuff that would bring out the gold of the armour (if you go gold)

Or you could do the spikes and armour like Jade , ohhh that might work! and do teeth and claws cream.
