When the morning before your daughter 4th birthday you open your Facebook account and see a DIY projet!! So we ask our daughter what kind of birthday she wanted this year, the answer « a let it go » aka frozen.... So yesterday morning open up my account and see a DYI projet for a cardboard dome, not knowing if I had enough cardboard I started to work on it....
By the end of last night (3am) I had a most of it done... I couldn’t keep going anymore been late and all but plan on working on it the day of said birthday!! So here a couple umbrellas according to my daughter.... little did she know.... before I rant out of hot glue stick.... Here partly finished set up on a new trampoline as we got to burn énergie some how... ready for the morning reveal!!!
Before bed time we manage to get it completed !!! Now it only can she go in and out without issue but I also fit in it!! Lol Finish ice castle!!! There aren’t any social distancing with a newly 4 yrs old!!
Nice job! My Daughter (4 yrs) is an "Anna and Elsa" fan as well. Lots of light blue and white in use here.
She’s please indeed..., the wife mention this that it may cause trouble to get her out at some point as there a full floor to it.... The plus side for the floor is she can draw as much as she want on the inside and never touch the actual flooring lol... Time will tell!! Lol
So the wife mention I should do more project with the little one..... ummm let’s practice playing with foam core and make the daughter something to play with.... So this morning I started to work on this project, keeping tally on where the customer wants things ... lol So how to improve this beautiful piece of equipment one may ask?!? Well can’t load picture for now.... ummm
And 2 second later I’m good to go weird Anyhow... And jamming again weird... and I’m back just got to be more patient I guess.... So after many hrs of precision cutting lol and needling to finally glueing here I present to you the pup house!! Here a shot from the back with the holes the the pup tower legs etc Upside down view from the back again showing precise cutting lol And here with the tower Now construction is....I’ll call it complete to painting we shall proceeded next!!
Alright today was painting time!! Started by priming it white I then wash it with some home made grey wash, and painted the inside of the « garage » lol I try taping them but that kinda failed!! So plan B Paint the outside black to cover up the colour spilling out everywhere!! Attach/put against the pup tower!! With the respective pup wagon/snowboard !! Another happy kid!! On to the next project!!.....
Well boys and girls now come time to paint my little ones room for the new house!! Paint testing day!! So after a few week of asking my daughter which colour she wanted (btw after she knew the name she couldn’t care less which one was which) ballet slipper and cupcakes was the winners!! Off to the store I go pick up a gallon of each, grab 2 paint brush and let’s try them on the wall . I soon realized there was now 2 brush of the same colour on the wall, of course she wanted to do like papa... grab the second brush dipped it (actually not too far I was impressed but still got paint over the floor oups) and started to paint the wall like me!! I really couldn’t get mad right ?! Hehehe A few days later and voila!! She now as a wonderful purple and pink bedroom!!! Her reaction was priceless and worth all the effort I put in to make it happen!! Not really miniature hobby related but painting is painting right? Hehehe Cheers
Good news bad news… Bad news I didn’t take much WIP pictures….. good news I impressed myself didn’t think I could make something as good as it looks !!! The only WIP don’t mind the mess…. Lol Full Xmas decorations!! size comparison….. it’s a solid 6 feet+ tall!!! Crazy!! hopefully it doesn’t disappear!!! now the neirbourgh just need to make a Cindy Lou who for the win lol
So I purchased basically everything I needed for airbrushing aka airbrush, compressor, fan for ventilation…. like 6+months ago…. Time to start putting things into action!!! I’ve been slowing collecting bigger boxes, figured I would do it out of cardboard for now and see in the future…. While looking at said boxes I realized that one of them was the perfect size for the air filter I had on hand what a coincidence?!! It’s my 3D printer box hahahA. Not only is it the right size but came with all the pieces (so far) that I need!! first step glue in the first track?! Second cut the filter entrances and check for fitting Fits like a glove Extra gluing because why not will make everything more solid I suppose (not like a little extra glue cost much heheheh) next to glue the other track/slider?! after that will have to wait for parts I order yesterday some vent hose and a dust hood to attach said hose to this wonderful box!! i guess while I wait for that I can perhaps start working on mounting the fan!!! cheers Egres P.S. didn’t know where to put this project and didn’t feel like starting a new thread so I’ll steal from the kids project page heheheh
