    Hello!

I was thinking of buying some new brushes as I have completely wrecked mine after a long period of abuse. Which brand would people suggest?

Windsor and newton series 7, expensive but you get what you pay for, size1 and 0 will be the most common ones you use.

    They are amazing.

They do look rather snazzy. What about cheaper (but half decent quality) bands that I won't mind so much if I ruin them? I'm not the best with my brushes I must admit. I do have cleaner but they rarely see it.

I don't find brand to be that important.
But yea red sable is the best for water based paints.
You might try plastic handles if you keep ruining the wood ones like I do.
(no seriously there are high end plastic handled brushes)
It also might be a good time to experiment with some different brush shapes.

    TL;DR
Average price variety pack of sable brushes, possibly with plastic handles.

Check out Rosemary and Co. The Golden Synthetic series. Good prices, good brushes. Like Crowsfoot pointed out, size 0 and 1 are must haves.

Just wanted to say thanks for the suggestions. I ordered a few brushes from Rosemary and Co including red sable and golden synthetic and I'm super pleased with them. They feel and paint very nicely and I really like how the bristles are quite long, meaning it's unlikely for me to get paint up to the ferrule where it dries out and ruins them.

    Also pretty cheap!

That's funny. I was just about to order some brushes myself, as my local arts 'n crafts store lacks abit in quality and pricing. Will probably order a couple of red sable from rosemary aswell.
