Hi guys! After assembling a carnosaur, i looked over the remaining bits, and something came to my mind: the uniqe parts to build a troglodon remained, just missing the body, leggs and arms. What if i make those missing parts invisible? Hell, yeah, a troglodon roaming in a swamp! The leggs and arms cant be seen, and only the upper part of the body. So i put those things together, and built a body for him. The result: ll add water effect with waves like he was moving in the water. Got some really nice duckweed to make it look like a real swamp. The wire on his back will be a seaweed stuck to his back. Im planning to add a rock next to his head, with a snake from jungle swarm sitting set,on the rock, or put one to the plants to lurk around. Thoughts, any ideas? Any comment are welcome!
its a limestone based material, used to put between the gap of tiles, way cheaper then greenstuff, solvable in water, hardens in about 24 hours
That is a really good idea. If I ever buy a carnosaur, I think I'll do the same thing. I can't wait to see how it looks when painted.
Love it! Can't wait to see it finished and painted. If I ever get the new carnosaur package, Ill defiantly steal the idea. Suddenly the box became a little more cost effective.
Thank you for all the comments and compliments! Actually, Im not gonna paint it myself, because im new to painting (just practicing on skinks and sauruses), but a pro mate will do it soon, then I can finish the basing. Ill keep the thread updated.
This is what Ill use as duckweed: First ill add green and grey tone to the base, then the weed and then comes the water effect with some waves imitating that the troglodon is in motion.
That's an soooo awesome idea, hope you don't mind if I steal it Reminds me of good old JP3 I'm looking forward to the final version cheers
Awesome idea, looks great. One thing I might suggest is changing the tail placement. As it is it looks like he has a very short tail, perhaps if it was coming off the side where the plants were it would give the illusion of a longer tail curving under the water. Although I don't know if it would work out as it does in my mind. Great job as is though.

I tried out many options, but most of them looked unnaturally :S This position meant to imitate that the troglodon is moving trough a very deep swamp, has to raise its head to enable him breathing, accordingly its tail takes up an S shape to make it act naturally, but most of that is invisible.
