Wow yeah that does look really cool, great work! I especially like how the shield came out. Any plans to paint up more of them?
Thanks guys. =) @strewart- I have a unit of them to paint so far, this is just the first one i did to make sure I knew what he wanted. Lol @n810- I think I shall, I just need to figure out a good way to do it. =)
It looks like you have lava colour down, so I won't go into that, but what I did for a lava base was glue sand onto it, and while the pva glue was still wet I dragged a pin through it forming cracks all over the base. Then when it had dried, paint the cracks bright orange/yellow like lava, and the rest black. Turned out pretty well for me. It is a little bit of a pain getting in there when there is a model in the way, but its ok with patience. I look forwart to seeing the full unit!
I have to see a unit of these guys! They would look fantastic together. Will the standard be half melted?
This is an amazing paint job! I love the depth that your shadows and highlights have! Almost looks real!!! Absolutely wonderful!
What exactly did you do to get that effect? I'm trying to make some volcano bases for my friend's blood letter hareld. I'd love to know what you did to that. Looks awesome.
Oh lame. I need to pay more attention it would seem. Gotten keep updated on the logs. haha. I posted in a few others. Sure hope they come back.
