I posted some images of an old project to the blog today. This is the Temple of Kroak. It was made entirely out of sculpey, so it must have weight 8-10 pounds! It was very massive, as the 28mm figures show in a relative size comparison. The figure of Kroak was also sculpted from scratch using sculpey. I have learned a great deal about constructing things such as this since then. The army board was made mostly of paper realated products. Here are a few images: And a link to the blog: http://wappellious.blogspot.com/201...html#!/2012/02/photos-of-temple-of-kroak.html
How long have you been sculpting things like this and have you made any other lizardmen themed creations you could show us?
Tonight I will be working pretty furiously on the last of the temple guard unit, so I think there will be images on Tuesday! I will probably regret bringing the cold ones to the tournament, given how heavy Cav does not do much in 8th (and the fact that I fail 90% of all my stupidity rolls with them!). I only need to do a bit of touch up on the unit to make it ready for Adepticon. I had thought of giving them the +1 LD banner so that I don't go stupid 5 turns in a row, which actually happened. However, there is very little terrain at Adepticon, and at 2200 points, there might be things they can kill. Given that I have had games last as few as 3 turns at tournaments, some quick early VP's could help. Right now, I have them with the minus to shooting banner. One of the scenarios causes a -2 to shooting on turn one. Tack on another -1/2 from the banner, and voila!! Non dead Saurus cav. Sorry for the tactic insert on the painting forum! I have slept very little for weeks now
Awesome, looking forward to more pics . Just so you feel more confident about fielding the cold ones, I had a battle on the weekend where they not only passed every stupidity test (true story!), but they actually won most valuable player. Miracles do happen!
Fantastic work, it looks absolutely stunning! How long did that take you to make? Do you have any WIP pictures pre-paint?
