he did, but overall it wasnt THAT but above average....the problem was that it was all those krox hits that DIDNT get eaten up by -1 nurgle ´+ iceshard blizzard -.-
That would no doubt hurt the Krox's chances. With WS3 they don't hit very effectively to begin with, adding all that to the mix hurts!
as said, his an ETC player, and he is testing lists for the Warm up. Everybody I know that plays does the same -.- And I might be playing Vampire Counts this ETC time around...still deciding.
+1 I don't personally know anybody who plays ETC. I'm surprised that it is so popular in your area. Shame that he isn't willing to play at least one game of real warhammer with you. I want to see the mighty Krox horde unleashed!
Its actually our "core ruleset" around here, and I like it that way to be honest. The guys are very competitive powergamers, and NOT having comp-set to put on top of that is to end friendships
You are allowed to say stupid ^^ I was sitting there wondering how I could miss it. Only explanation is that I haven't played with any units, neither LM or VC, that needed to be anywhere near that point cost. What are you playing in your area @Pinktaco ? and where was it in Denmark exactly?
usually it's just with my friends and we don't play with any comp. Like you I haven't really needed to think about units bigger than 450pts. I believe 30 guards with full command clock in at exactly 450pts I have one person I know who likes to play with ETC, but that have more to do with him being a beastmen player. I haven't beaten him yet because I find the doombull hard to counter, however, in the tournament I participated in some weeks back I ran down a doombull + minotaurs with the right Oldblood so I just need to bring that guy next time I currently live in Odense and our Dragons Lair store have recently held several tournaments and these are usually not with a lot of rules either. Just some specific ones like.. Don't take everything from Forgeworld, lol. And in case you're wondering - Ogres have some very.. overpowered monstrous cavalry units from Forgeworld. After first tournament they quickly removed those from what was allowed to field. We are even allowed to field special characters anyway I actually made a facebook page for players in Odense and we're currently up 39 players
Rhinox Riders! The definition of broken...or breaking. That sounds comfy! I don't know what you travel option, but we are having ETC (sometimes not) tournaments in our DL every month. You are not a Tournament kinda guy then? If so, the community around Aarhus (my city) is throwing a 2day Tourney each year: "Big Un". Always a lot of fun!
I dont agree for the sole reason that these bastads can be taken as single models! AND that they are stubborn, and T5 ...and and and http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/Downloads/Product/PDF/r/Rhinox.pdf
That's pretty nasty... you're right that the unit size of 1+ and stubborn make them a real pain in the backside. Forgeworld's rules are usually all over the place, I view their stuff as expansions that require your opponent's permission to field.
this army looks great! Could you please share what models are those that you use for kroxies? I'm guessing everyone else here knows or they would have asked already... P.S. I guessed correct! Found it and posted my message already, my guys would like some more muscle....
Might you be referring to these models?... http://www.lustria-online.com/threads/first-post-custom-model-kroxigor.15419/
I haven't played a lot of tournaments. Mostly due to my education and not having a car. At least that's what I tell myself. Now that Dragons Lair in Odense have been hosting a few tournaments lately I've started participating. Mostly it's not ultra competitive and the rules are not too strict. Overall I find it to be a "safe" way starting to play tournaments because you know the people and it's all somewhat casual. I would, however, love for our DL to host tournaments every month, but it's rather new and I don't think they've had a good opportunity to do it before, but now that the group on FB, created by my friend and I, have grown considerably it's much easier for the store to gather people up for it. At least that's what I tell myself lol. They do seem to mostly be getting participants through the group When's the 2-day tournament in Århus? A bit of a shame that one of my friends just moved from the city because it would've been a perfect opportunity for him to start going to tournaments as well not to mention a place to sleep
These guys have a 3+ save due to the mount and can gain heavy armour + shield. I mean sure let's give this super monstrous cavalry a 1+ save just to really fvck with people. They might be expensive, but even if you put 350pts into a single unit they'll likely eat their way through most of what they hit. Eat model have 9 (10 for champ) S5 attacks and D3 + 1 impact hit, just because. Oh and a stomp D: No sir these are utterly ridiculous.
