Your thoughts? are you getting it? and have you been watching them very sexy trailers? shame lizardmen aren't a starting fraction hope next dlc is themselves and the dark elves.... one can only hope to lead his saurus warriors into the fray.
I know the feeling the graphics look amazing. And the gameplay yet it's only alpha imagine what it will be like when polished
I cannot resist like you my friend.... For the age of war... Is beginging although problamic is who do I pick the greenskins and vampire top 2 over the empire and dwarves
I'll be getting it to support the game. So that they continue to expand. So that I can one day play the lizards. I doubt I'll be playing it much till then. Unless it's like crack. In which case, I'll be playing the green skins. As far as I know, Total War has never been on any console. It's not impossible, but the biggest limiting factor has always been memory. And since Warhammer Total War is supposed to be Total War's most ambitious title, I don't think they'll be toning things down for consoles on this one. Even if they did, the game's controls wouldn't transfer very well. It requires more than a few buttons and two joysticks. It's a bit more intricate of a game than Halo Wars and other strategy that made it to console. And those titles still feel clunky.
Game controllers are designed for games and the keyboard and mouse really aren't. I mean, they do make mice designed for gaming, but it's not the same as a platform made for gaming. I do prefer using the keyboard and mouse on tactics and strategy games. Any low skill games that involve ridiculous amounts of controls. Basically any game that I can look away from for several mins, and not die, i prefer the keyboard. It's a different type of game. On the other hand, anything like a racing game, shooting game, adventure game all play way better with a controller. I am thrilled that 3d person MMO RPGs are starting to move to console. In an MMO where I never have to hear the word "macro" in reference to key binding ever again, is the MMO I want to be playing.
If you want to see the game: Looks like they really make the game we could want. We can even see the vortex spell (but no one dies unfortunately).
I checked this out last night, and I have to say, it looks AMAZING! I hope there is a method to pause and issue orders though.
There always was, so it shouldn't be different, but probably video looked better and more funny without it. I'm intrigued how flying creatures and machines can be destroyed, better have those archers somewhere.
So according to Creative Assembkly, all the armies will be featured over the course of the 3 games, either as part of each installment, DLC or FreeLC. I have a feeling the pay dlc might be more towards extra lords and heroes as opposed to armies. It would probably turn of players who would have to buy the game and then purchase dlc just to play their army, when others just need to do one. Heres a vid:
6 months prior to release and they have announced day one dlc. Game is going to be like Rome 2. Pay for game, pay extra for content that should be included. Scam developers/publishers. Milking fans and players. Avoiding till gold/master/developers addition comes on sale.
