I was hoping for new models, oh well. Back to hibernation till the pre-orders of the book, or if new models are about.
Well until I read about no models being released I would have most certainly put my money on later, distance the design from the Lizards in the hopes for more model sales rather than people using the existing ones.
That actually depends, if they are sitting in with larger quantities of the current models. It makes sense to first offload those, and then release new models later on.
Then it wouldn't make sense to release a Battletome. I feel with you guys but there won't be any new models until... I don't know end of 16? Way before AoS, short before or with the start of the End Times releases there was a rumour about campain boxes and limited models in "the new system". I bet on those limited models but release waves like Stormcasts for existing armies? No. No, I don't think so.
I thought of that too Red. What I find highly ironic though is that a "we are first formost a models company" GW suddenly relies on new GAME RULES to sell old miniatures. Seems like they cant agree on their strategy. If there is one.
I like a couple of the new names I don't however like how it seems like lord kroak is the only offically named character
It seems that GW is following a new policy of having official special character models. Having equivalent stand ins as opposed to wasting stock on creating a specific model for a specific character that not everyone may even want. Like instead of making a specific model for Hammerhand he is a Lord-Celestant on a Dracoth, and Khul is a Blood Lord with Warhoud (or whatever).
Does it really matter? Isn't it a plus in a (hopefully) advancing timeline to not have any named characters who would die of old age without plot armour. I for myself don't really care if I field 'Gor-Rok' or a 'Sunblood'.
I wonder if anyone buys any of the big bundles like that? They seem way too expensive for any normal person to feel okay buying all at once.
Temple Guard was 41,25$ for 10. Now 55$ for 15. That's 12,5% off. Saurus was 35$ for 16. Now 38$ for 20. That's ~15,1% off. What a shame the Skinks doesn't got a repack.
Man the heavy breathing I had towards the picture of the Limited Edition. I'm getting excited now, finally a book instead of random pieces of paper. I will be constantly refreshing the page Saturday.
