Otzi's army

Hang on a sec, I have saurus knights, 2 stegadons(1 is Eotg), and some classic saurus that I need to paint. Which would be best with the paints you have suggested? I am thinking the saurus (maybe outside chance of the skinks on the stegadons) but ive seen people pull off some very unlikely colour schemes and make me jealous. I am busy atm but will try it (on saurus) when I get home. The results are only days away...

Try saurus and see what works for you, you can do more detail to them when you get more paints and you feel confident.

I really like what the seraphim sepia has done to the back of the saurus. It gives a green hue and also a black wash effect in the racks. I apologise for the photo quality as my phone camera is awful in artificial light.

yep, that's one dark wash bro... :snaphappy:
(But seriously invest in a nice lamp)

Hey good looking carnosaur!! I agree some washes would be great as specially the purple looks a bit too flat.
Next time please say post as thumbnail when you upload pictures because if not my super-slow wifi takes forever to load the picture ;)

Jorgik

Ps: Was the saurus pic taken on the floor?:p

Heres another, slightly better photo - I know you cant see, but seriously, the sepia and the Temple guard really make a great fade into green effect.

(still on the ceiling though :p )

Most of my pics will be a tad rubbish, as I cant really take pictures during the day as I am at school. I will try to post during the weekend but am fairly busy.

Looks quite good! I really like that blue! Looks really good with the gold pieces on the model.

As you probably saw, it doesnt yet have any skinks on. This is mostly because those pics were from yesterday and I glued the last skink on to it about 15mins ago.

The gold? Really? I was more proud of the bone but ok.

Looking good, trying washing the model with Agrax earhshade go lightly just to make the detail pop a bit more.

Give me 5 mimutes and I'll rustle up some pics of my first little conversion. Not a huge one, but I like it.

Both look good but you can make them better with a bit of contrast, your horns want to be darker at the base so apply a Agrax wash thinly, the gold wash with sepia then drybrush with gold once dry.

The bone looks incredible! I was just saying that the gold highlights the blue well.

I need some agrax earthshade and nuln oil... Maybe I'll buy some tomorrow (I'm going to Birmingham to visit relatives).tmp_24183-DSC_0021-1698831033.JPG

And now, the conversion! A skink oracle off a troglodon. yes, the base is cardboard - it was a spur-of-the-moment thing and thats all I had to hand.
