Yep and I'm not ashamed to say it, when you posted it I thought "yeah that would be cool" and I would do a Bret army, I've looked at the Empire troops and there is not a lot of scope for making decent zombies but if I use the death upgrade shield pack they could look pretty cool. Had a quick look at the range and some cool models especially the skellys Would you start with the death starter box?
Undead are probably one of the most diverse, if not the most diverse, army in the game. There's a reason why like half of the themed armies I want to do are undead.
Done my list for my Roman Death Rattle army 2 Necromancers, 3 wight kings (one mounted), 10 black knights, 20 grave guard, 60 skeleton warriors
Remember how I said I would rewrite my Vampire Counts list? Yeah, well, scratch that - they took out all the toys that I wanted to use :-/
Well, he was very hard to take down. Put some Morghast Archai next to him, and he'll be casting more easily, and they can soak his damage. Basically, as long as you have multi-wound death units near him, he'd be very tough. And he can teleport 2D6 at the start of each of your turns - effectively increasing the range of the two spells he can cast by 2D6. He may not be very aggressive, but I definitely liked him.
Yeah, I know we can still use them, but it does give me a bit of a bad feeling when I do so. I can't really put my finger on it what it is - but using "deprecated" warscrolls seems a bit dodgy.
New boxset out this week, Skeleton Horde so my Deathrattle list now looks like, Arkhan Wight king Necromancer Black knights 10 Grave guard 20 Warriors 64 Total wounds 125 Only need the boxset and a box of knights to complete the army.
I am probably gonna get the skaven starter box when it comes so can I do the skaven bit if you lot don't mind. I have one or lists I am thinking of that will work quite well. if anyone else is gonna do them let me know.
