Ok so main reason I signed up for this site to ask questions regarding Lizards/Seraphon modeling. So I found my old Slaan and wanted to work on something with him. I originally wanted him to 'fly' but couldnt figure out how to do build a better plannquin for him. Then I thought of using current Temple Guard to carry him as opposed to the old ones he comes with. Got some Temple Guard -- they are way to big to work right. So now I'm kinda stuck. Here is where I am at so far, thought I'd share and love to hear thoughts / opinions on him.

What if you glue some extensions like tooth pics so the temple guard can carry him with enough space?
Check out the Salnn seat made for this diorama here. The page is in spanish, but you just need the pictures. (You have to roll down a bit)

Its the arms on the metal plannaquin that are too small/ close together for it to work and look right. Was thinking of trying to purchase some Saurus Warriors since they are smaller to try and hold it but still debaitng on ideas. What do you mean by the toothpicks tho? Sounds like an interesting idea. Also I'm not sure if this is the right size but I planned on putting the Slann on a 60mm round base.

How about drilling the rear of the seat and the pinning it to some strong wire bent at 90 degrees then model a branch or similar over the wire to give the impression of him floating.

was playing around with the model and resulted in this so far. I like the idea about using wire of some sort because there is no way this is going to hold fully like this. Right now the Slann is 'resting' on top of the carriers.

Maybe you could mount it on the back of a single Kroxigor. A little unorthodox but kind of funny.

They are double the size of the old guards that go with him. I think it looks cool so far - just need to figure a way to stablize the model. Tho maybe just adding the glue and connecting the two Guards may do it enough.

Or maybe use wire to pin them to the base and to the slann

You could make a trike? The two you have and one in the back centered?

I think I am going to just use the two holding him and wedge a clear plastic peg to help support it.

I started to do some paint work on my Seraphon. I'm not sure about the purple. The brown parts will be bone eventually. I think I will just be using Incubi Darkness spray right on the models. When you look at my uploaded pictures here there is one that is lighter and that one I didn't spray black and am liking. What do you think of the look of the purple scales on the ones holding the Slann? I'm uncertain at this point as to where to go -- comments / criticism welcome.

I feel the pain as I'm dealing with my own scale colour problems >.< As for purple it can work and look very nice with the teals that many lizardmen end up. I think the redder purple you have going has a fair chance of contrasting well with incubi darkness (I don't think they're ID yet are they?) but there's only one way to really find out. Try painting one as a prototype and see what happens?

Yeah I sprayed them with the Incubi Darkness first. Only did the purple scales on the 2 holding the Slann. Another idea was perhaps just differentiating the colors with different washes -- the fleshier parts with a bluer wash, the scales with a purple/blackish wash.

It probably would of been easier to come up with the "Saurus scheme" on a regular Warrior then the Temple Guard also.

Hmm... I think your purple is too vibrant then. The washes is an idea I havn't played around with but could work.

I´m really liking how that colour combination is turning out. I think you should now definitely go with shades. If you think the colors contrast too much (which I don´t) then go for a blue wash overall to tie the model together, if not apply two depending on the area.
Anyway I think you should really consider trying it out on other model first and if you like how it looks you apply if to your temple guards
