Personally I don't like this Battalion at all, but thank you a lot @Wazz for posting it here! Is it from the last Order giant book?
@Freddy25 its from the God beasts one. I posted the ones from the order book as well! No worries it helps us all out!
Oh right! I forgot for a moment about the Bloodclaw and the Heavenswatch Starhosts! Thanks again: I don't have plans (and possibility...) to get these books, so it's nice from you to let us see those Battalion warscrolls freely.
Hmm, I can't suppress my cynicism that formations are just an incentive to buy more expensive models - 3 Carnos?! Yeesh. Tbf I probably won't be using formations anyway, as soon as I do it gives my Highborn-Aelf opponent the vindication to use that horrendous Dragon Host formation. The "Dragonfire Conflagration" rule scares the willies out of me.
I feel the same for this one as well @Slanputin but it is nice to have your Ripperdactyls swoop in from no where and decimate the problem unit with the Shadowstrike Starhost lol. I do like how they gave this one a sort of back story too. I would use it if i had 2 more carnos lol.
4 thoughts: 1- tnx for sharing! 2- I'd need only one more carno to field it... 3- The bonus granted aren't that much. Even if 5 sunstone spear attacks are far from bad, and the "no battleshock" works also for units not included in the formation. 4- three carnosaurs are scary, full stop. The formation is just a plus.
Lmao. No worries @Killer Angel if I had 2 carno I would totally get the start collecting box for the 3rd lol. My "friends" target my Carno right away so I can just imagine their fear with 3 on the field lol
The funny thing is that my 2 carnos are both the old metal model, so the new bigger one, visually would match perfectly the formation, with the legendary Oldblood and the veterans... Will I resist the temptation? But, more important, why should I resist?
Lol! I have the old metal one as well so it would be the opposite for me. I say do it plus youll get extra knights and warriors if you get the box! I think its the same price as the carno model anyway! Haha
I see potential from this one, just a chuck in a few units to help buff the battalion. If my 3rd army gets going (later on maybe) All Lizards unite! But then a Oldblood on a midget Magmadroth (Carno) as the leader, scary.
Guys, don't forget about Oldblood's Command Ability. "COMMAND ABILITY Ancient Warlord: A Saurus Oldblood is a veteran of battles without number – an experienced leader who is as inspirational to its kin as it is terrifying to the enemy. If the Saurus Oldblood uses this ability, then until your next hero phase, whenever a Saurus Hero from your army within 20" attacks in the combat phase, pick one of its weapons and add 2 to its Attacks characteristic until the end of the phase." AND F.A.Q: "Q: Is a model within X" of itself – i.e. if Arkhan the Black uses his ability that increases the range of spells cast by Death Wizards within 18", will this mean that Arkhan’s spells also have an increased range? A: Yes, as long as they meet any other qualifiers for the spell or ability. This means that Arkhan the Black is affected by his own command ability." Soooooo... Klaq-tor has 7 Attacks with Sunstone Spear + hit re-rolls. That's huge.
Sheesh. Although, I would stick the extra attacks to his carnosaurs Clawed Forelimbs, as that increases the chance to hit twice and get +2 to hit for the jaws. Also they do 2 damage each, which is not to be sniffed at.
Thar may be true, unless they already got used to the elf guy with three dragons, then they will still be your friend, they will just say nasty things about you behind your back! Ah friendship!
Yeah, dont sigmarians also have that 3 dragon set or something? Ok, @NIGHTBRINGER, I promise never to never mention them again around you. Please don't kill me!
