Risking further derailing this thread, is there a max size too the unit to summon? On the war scrolls for Slann summoning you have a max, but on the EoTG It does not. Surely that could be massively abused in the current game state?
It really seems the don't scrutinise their rule sets enough - some units have caps but if it were summoning in one without then it would probably be on how many models you owned thus abusing the system and summoning in thousands
What rulebook are you referring to? Age of Sigmar only has 4 pages - which to my knowledge has not officially been iterated on - so I'd hardly call it a book What do you mean by Unit Strength? Wounds? Are you talking about a certain comp system? Because what I quoted earlier came from the official rules. I'd like to know what you're going on about (Disclaimer: if I sound grumpy, that's not what I want to be - I just don't know how to rephrase my questions right now )
Urhm my rulebook has a the saurus on the front I think its the 8th edition? This says they have unit strength of 10 I don't think it refers to wounds as it says a steg has 5 wounds - I haven't ever played so not really sure what it means
Ah! That explains a lot! Yeah, quite a lot changed compared to 8th or earlier, it's a lot easier to digest now rule-wise, but on the other hand also slightly more open for debate (with questions like these), but that's nothing new in my experience
@SlanntaClause your book is 7th edition. It doesn't do anything for AOS. You can summon both Kroak and a Slann with yhe engine ad the only prerequisite is keyword seraphon which both have. It doesn't give a unit size, so you can be just as cheesey as you please. So discuss that with your opponent at the beginning of the game. For those play SCGT rules it would be whatever is in your summoning pool. Only one more month wait for the Generals Handbook!
Ah ha I don't even know what rule books I'm running with I'm terrible - okay so I guess you can summon Slann in the new rules that's pretty cool and OP
It's actually not that easy, you almost need another slann or Kroak, a skink starseer and an Astrolith to be able to pull this off with any kind of accuracy. The engine rolls 3 dice and you need a 14-17 to get the ability to summon. Odds are not great. Not impossible but not great. A nearby slann will give it an extra dice, mych better odds. Using the starseer to cast curse of fates makes the odds slightly better. The Astriloth is just there to help you ensure curse of fates gets cast. But then yeah, you can summon a slann or a Kroak to the table for a day ruining turn!
Who are we? Slann army - 9 Slanns ^.^ - Got one potential one on the way I'm still iffy about it - its not marked as sent but I did message the seller who assured me it would be sent soon. I haven't even glued some together yet - Kroak is hiding
I never realised there were so many variations in the past! I really like the laid back guy in the front XD
Last I checked there was a golden deamon painted one for 89£ dunno how truthful the title is but expensive still
No Tetto-Eko cannot summon units. The only units able to summon in the Seraphon book are Lord Kroak, EoTG, and Slaan Starmaster.
