Well I will never be posting pics of any of my paint jobs after this transcendent heavenly goodness that has crawled from the spawning pool. Seriously I am in awe and I love seeing what some people can do with an imagination and a little.... Cough a lot cough.....talent. it's amazing.
This is your first effort. Absolutely stunning. Dam by big man fingers, my blurry eyes and shaking hands.
Haha I found it a bit weird when I looked at your thread and realised I had some pics of your stuff in my Lizzy inspiration folder on my computer from over the past year!
The pictures on the first post are your first ever miniatures? *hides his latest miniatures* Amazing work. When I was deciding which Army to collect I wanted something colorful, so Bretonian was my first choice, but there was not enough variety. I went with Empire and decided to always paint with bright colors, but Lizardmen was always close second . If I had seen your pictures before I would surely be playing Lizardmen. Jealous of that moving tray.
I share that sentiment. Her work is of such a high grade, that it manages to evoke feelings that are simultaneously inspiring and brutally disheartening. There simply is no substitute for innate talent.
First ever miniatures yes but not first time doing "art" so it wasn't a difficult transfer and I love bretonnian! I wouldn't get an army of them but some day I might by a couple of minis to paint! Love the Calvary!
I would start slowly scanning ebay for them. Since GW discontinued them, you'll have to rely on the secondary market.
I have a saurus warrior guy and skink with a feather headpiece, i thought that conversion was cool and unique and i loved the scales/skin. Your feathery raptor with the wings, that was pretty cool! (i also have a feather heavy theme for my army) the carnosaur was wicked, and i really loved what you did with your purple skinks and the rings on their tails. You're very creative when it comes to pattern choices, and i find that more inspirational then someone who can blend colours perfectly, lol.
Looks neat. I'm trying to do something more or less similar with my lizards too -- looks like most of the work is probably just in the layering? Having some trouble on my end with the 'randomness' of the space dust, and building up to the bright points.
I start with black then dark blues light blues dark purples light purples and whites. The randomness comes with practise my latest piece is my best....so practise I guess
Happy to annouce that my Mr Sparkles has taken 1st in its category in the 2016 eadbanger Comp!!! This was a fun online comp and my second painting comp that I've entered! I highly recommend anyone who's interested to give it a go next year!
