Hey !
I'm starting a new blog and a Old/new army.

I'm an old WHFB player and the only race i've ever played since i was 15yo was Skink... (i've stopped a lot to concentrate on 40k, but now AOS match more my gaming habbits).
So i've started with 5ed get back on 6ed (savage hordes) and the codex. And then i cried... no more god marks, no more short bows... I've skip 7 and 8 and sold tons of skinks and Saurus (and maybe some collectors).
But now the lost ones will came back from space.

So i'm starting a new army with the remains of my collection stored during 10 years in an old box...
I bought some stuff here and there to complete them and got something playable quickly. My idea is to fit a regular budget and painting time to not give up (again).

What i'll get very soon:
- 10 Jav (oldschool métal ones) Arrived
- 68 Archers plastic Arrived
- 29 Archers plastic Arrived
- 2 salamander + handlers Arrived
- 2 salamander + handlers Arrived
- Tenehuini Old school Arrived
- Tenehuini recent version Arrived
- 2 champions skinks (first version) Arrived
- 1 Priest (the one with the helmet) Arrived
- 1 Priest (the one with the staff) Arrived
- Old Stegadon Arrived
- 4 Jungle swarm Arrived
- 40 Saurus Arrived
- some spared Coldones and saurus knights Arrived
+ Bonus Some parts of Engine of Gods

What i'll do
- remove the old paint
- change or fix the broken ones
- re-base all (not sure of my english on this... socler ?)
- i will not convert the archer, just play them as Blowpipes (i'm searching for a cheap way to give them shields)
- searching for a new schema (il like the black back with some orange scales and grey belly, seems easy)

Pictures will arrive as soon as i got them !

If you have some advices, comments, anything just speak !
(Sorry for my basic english, i will get better soon)

the fun part is that it cost mostly twice the price today...

Years ago I had a vast amount of models, recently found some in the loft sadly one I recall "Encounter at Khazad-Dum" ",Balrog" was not present and he now brings a price of £80- £200 on ebay.

Second arrival :

This is not my painting, it's a batch of minis i've got from another guy.
- 68 skinks (2 of them can be chief skinks).
- 2 salamander and their handlers
- and a Shaman/priest (mostly priest)
(it's around 860pts, so sad there is no other skink batallion)
I'm now with 1020points of skinks ! Yay

Next job : get a bunch of round bases and a good product to remove the painting.
- The handlers are close to my final color scheme and the salamanders too.
- The green heroe is well painted, not sure i'll touch it.
- The others will take the black.

I've just check the list of the stuff that are still comming and i should add :
- 4 jungle swarm
- one stegadon (the metal one)

I'm thinking now... instead of buying new models, i could start with an old school rebased army like this :

1000 pts
- Skink Chief 60
- Astrolith 160 -> this will be 4 skinks holding an artefact made with some Tau Drone or else.
- 30 skinks 240
- 10 skinks 80
- Stegadon 260
- 2 salamandres 120
- 6 handlers 80

The astrolith conversion sounds awesome! I definitely want to see that! First turn shots with the big group of skinks 2+ to hit rerollable is going to be pretty deadly.

Once again it's not my painting, but at last i got the new Tenehuini, a priest and a new chief ! !
At some point i think i'm about to get all skinks heroes...
Let's hope the last batch arrive soon i just can't wait to test the army !

I received the last batch and sorted all the stuff.
I speak to you as the remaining dust of time is slowly falling down.
From this pic 20 years of hobby is watching me. (and judge me for not playing them)

So to avoid you to fall from your chair watching this broken and decadent pile f junk i took two pictures.

Now, i must got some paint and bases.
On the first picture, the 4 skinks on the left will be the holders of the astrolith.
The astrolith will be a customised Tau Drone with some parts of the Engine of god. My friend got a new stegadon and used it as a Mammoth for his chaos army, so the other skinks arrived here. Yay

For my Heroe, should i use a 5ed tupac or a 6/7ed Tupac ?
I'll start painting in October after the announced death of my wallet by genestealer infection....

Also I like green ball! He loses some detail, but he has this beautiful frog like quality that sets him apart from all the skinks! Got away with living like a slann for long enough!
