AoS balewind vortex

    yo guys! I got inspired to play the kroak vortex combo, but i cant find how much the vortex costs to play, help? :)

    Yep, just put 100 points less on the table. You can then spend them on the Balewind Vortex, or you can use them to summon something else if you notice that in that particular game a Balewind Vortex wouldn't be of much use, and also if yo ufail to summon the Vortex and need something very urgently, like a group of Warriors or Skinks.

    Never hurts to leave an extra hundred points in summoning too if you can.

    Yeah with the range buff by the Vortex summoning stuff behind enemy lines becomes a viable tactic. Perhaps reserve 240 points or so in bigger games. Balewind + Rippers or no Balewind but 2x Knights/Chameleons or 3x Skinks or 4x Razordons or Terradons + Guards, all those combos would work.

    I agree with your overall observations. The only thing is that, IIRC, you cannot summon 4 razordons (a unit can be made of 4 razors, but the spell let you summon just 3 of them)

    Correct me if I'm wrong.

    Oh you're right. It would be three and you have 60 points left. So you could summon two, twice, or three and one, or three and a Salamander or something.
