Won the painting contest at my local store with the Jaguar Skinks! Might have helped that the owner plays Seraphon but i wont complain.

It probably was because they were designed off of a type of cat, and nobody can resist cats. They also have a good paint job, which contributed to the win, but I'm sure it was because of the catness of your Chameleon Skinks.

Bought one of the new Kharadron Overlords models. Probably going to make an army, after reading through their battletome I think they could be a fun shooty army.

The primer went on with a lot of spots on this model and really made it look poor, which was really disappointing and I couldnt figure out how to get it smooth so I just went with it. Not happy with the results but what can you do? On the positive side, I like the color scheme although it needs some darker brass in there I think and the models are different enough that they are a nice break from the lizards I've been painting for the past year.

He is actually one of the Sky ports they have in the battletome, Barak Urbaz. Just not one they've shown in any of their material, I think they've only used Barak Nar and Barak Zilfin so far.

I know that gritty primers suck, but it actually looks very cool, looks rusty and weathered. If you want to avoid it I can only advise to shake the can for 2 minutes minimum, and spray in temperatures from 15-25º, other wise the paint could freeze/dry before reaching the model, making it look patchy, or doing so while it´s drying. Also, prime in a dry environment/area; if it´s moist the same will happen

I have only had that problem twice, and it was with the purity seal spray (garbage, it´s good they removed it) and with the old white primer (talking about GW). If you follow the instructions carefully nothing should happen in my experience.
