With the release of the Kharadron and their sky boats, do you think we shall start seeing larger transports for Seraphon? I know they have starships, so would we have a starship like vehicle or perhaps a large dinosaur like a Brachiosaur that serves as a troop transport?
I think that they will keep the transports as a unique characteristic of the new army for the time being
Maybe temple transport shuttles would be awesome! Not that they are needed with the slann zapping lizards into place, but it could be so cool.
There once was an awesome picture on the net of some HUGE dinosaur with lots of Skinks on it. Would be pretty impractical but I liked it. Edit: that being said I'd love to have a bigger flying unit for Seraphon. Kinda like a big Terradon with a crew of 2-4. Perhaps with some shooting capacity. And then something like the To'Raken from The Wheel of Time, carrying 10 Skinks somewhere.
Well, same problem for the big Kharadron ships I guess... @Crowsfoot that's the one I meant. But there was also one with a Brachiosaurus or so IIRC.
I hope they keep the transport thing to the sky dwarves. AoS will just get stupid silly with everyone loading troops up in transports. I might as well play 40K.
Transports, while a nice idea with the right Dinosaur like a Sauropod, feels fairly redundant when we already have an army where every unit barring the Slann can be summoned into play when needed. While the summoning is limited in Matched Play, its still more effective than transport options that would be too expensive for most games.
I don't know, might be fun to have a fourth way to play, the Scourge privateers could have ships, we could have a big water and air transport, do geoud/water/air battles. But that's all getting into epic scale, so might not work out with the current AOD and might be better as a standalone like silver tower.
Dwarfs need transports, given that they're awfully slow. Other armies don't suffer the same problem, so I hope it will remain a peculiar dwarven thing.
