    What's up?

There have been murmurings around the place regarding a Lustria Online meetup at Warhammer World, this thread is to gauge interest and gather ideas regarding such an event.

A few ideas for things we could do off the top of my head:

    1. Mini Tournament
    2. Narrative Event
    3. Golden Serpent
    5. ...
    6. Drink.

    There is no 4.

Who is interested? Any time of year particularly good for you? Any ideas for things to do?

    I'd be up for it,

Mini tournament sounds like a great idea and running along side it best painted army etc etc

Probably best time of year for me is around any school holidays etc

Lets hope more are interested ;)

If I were in that part of the world I would definitely join in. Unfortunately travel is not in the cards for now.

I wish I can, but even being in the UK. I can't stand the travel, bad enough doing a near hour trip to the outskirts of London every year.

I guess it comes down to perspective. When I was living in London for a year, I found the travel distances within England to be very short.

A guy I work with said it best, English don't understand space the way Canadians don't understand time. ST. Davids, Whales to Dover, England is approximately a 6 hour drive.
Cartwright, Nf to Vancouver, BC is approximately 76 hours

Nanisivik, Nunavut to Toronto, ON is a 35 hour flight, Plymouth to Wick Scotland is a 13 hour drive.

But here, a building built in the 1920's is ancient! :p

I agree with most of that. But that Nanisivik to Toronto flight seems a bit off. Must be the world's slowest plane

When I google mapped it it told me 1 day 11 hours. Damn google, put me on the slow plane.

I only caught it because I know it took me "only" 30 hours of transit time (flight, stopover, security and all the other fun jazz) to get from Toronto to Brisbane, Australia. The actual flying time was closer to 20 hours.

I think it's mostly in the UK, there is traffic, nearly everywhere. So it's all snail-paced driving to get anywhere. Usually a good straight drive really cuts back on the time to get there.
Also how I live on the edge of the country.

Agreed. Additionally our public transport has much to be longed for.

Compared to what we have here in Canada, your public transportation is outstanding. When I was in London and had just started the using the tube system, I remember missing a train early on; I could literally see it pulling away. I could only think to myself dammit, until I looked up at the sign to see that the next train was arriving in 1 minute. I've had the same happen to me in Toronto and it cost me an hour of waiting around. I was so pleased with public transport in London.

I talked to several people while there, and they all said that compared to other European countries (Switzerland being mentioned by most), the transportation system in England is poor. So I guess it comes down to what you compare it to.

Just be to clear we ARE talking this May (27th) in the UK right?

Because if so you can call me *Drum roll please*....

NUMBER 4! (Actually no, don't do that).

I will be there (driving up with a couple of mates), but won't get there until 12am I think.
I'll be bringing sculpts, I'll also have an inappropriate top on too. C:

Any idea how we're all going to find one another?
